Hi, I'm trying to access "Optimise Image" on a D80. It displays a message, "not available with current settings" I've tried reset and the 2 button reset but still cant get into Optimise Image. Any suggestions please. thanks Dave:thumbs:

Hi, great photo I've just got a 50mm 1.8D for a D80, I'm a novice. What F number did you select? The sharpness appears to be on the eyes, other features less focused? Is F4 the best setting for portraits?

Interesting Thread, as I am learning too. I find Nikon Capture NX is great for photo editing with RAW images. I like the effects achieved with a slow shutter speed in a busy environment. I notice some pictures are soft on focus but the photos are better than I'm capable of at the moment.

Shame on me, I carry a point & shoot, mostly. DSLR for more serious photography.
