thanks garry - it does get chilly in Oz but not to compare to what I've seen of your winter white outs. I enjoy our mild winters but summer temps between December and March can be unbearably hot.

You did well at 1600 with ambient light there, Garry. In most instances I prefer natural lighting over flash that kills atmosphere.
Elegant pose and I have to agree that the background dude is a distraction, although under the circumstances that should be accepted.
I spotted this lovely animal sunning itself at the base of a big River Red Gum and was able to get within less than 2 metres.
