Nostalgia is it a thing of the past?

That sounds a bit like the advert for learning to swim from years back: "I wish I didn't keep losing my bird" "Then learn to swim young man, learn to swim!"

One of my favourites as a kid "hello little old lady". Jamie And His Magic Torch was another.

Trafalgar Square takeover by Sunderland fans

Great photos, good to see the Red & White Army out in force and you've captured the atmosphere brilliantly.

Help needed in choosing a DSLR.

Thanks for the update, I'm in a similar situation to you, I'm about to upgrade from my bridge camera and have chosen a 200D, so it's good to hear it's easy to use and access the various features and giving good picture quality. Cheers.

We had them in Sunderland. His arrival would always be greeted by a shout of "Here's the man with crabs".

What to do when inspiration is missing?

Travel tends to inspire me, and by that I don't mean setting off for the other side of the world, just going somewhere that interests you not as a photographic destination, just somewhere you fancy going and exploring. I've still got one of those, by The Cult, given away by the NME I think. Never played it.

Top Deck Shandy was the best. Loved Texan Bars too. My favourite as a kid was Kendal Mint Cake, always used to get a bar after going swimming to eat on the walk home. I think you can still get it now.

I remember those, we never used to try and bite into them though,. we'd suck all the flavour from them so you were just left with a block of ice, which inevitably was used as the most lethal snowball ever.

Nostalgia is it a thing of the past?

It was Villa pop in the north East, or at least in Sunderland where I grew up. They did the best Sarsaparilla. The Villa truck would come round every Saturday and take the empties in return for 5p iirc. We also used to get a mobile shop, like a grocery store in the back of a van that would come...

    Sort images by time taken

If you're using Windows you'll need to view the contents of the folder in Details Mode, then unhide the Date Taken column and you can then sort in either direction by clicking the column heading.

I am one that has the opportunity to capture the wierd world

I know, and resistance is probably futile but I feel I have to call out b******t when I see it.
