    Thanks for replys guy, but just looking for a pole i can hammer in to the ground then pull out, the *** I worked for before who did the same thing used a dowling/dowding? rod used down the pits, and the wicker will be just cable tied on so can easily cut off after the display is finished

    What I've been looking for is some sort of pole to go In the ground and hold a wicker screen up, needs to be about 5ft long, and will be in and out of the ground, will be using 3 for 3m worth of wicker so need to be pretty strong. Any ideas would be a huge help as I'm coming up a blank atm Thanks

    No.4 is a red tail The eagle looks like a steppe, very similar to a tawny, but if you look at the mouth, it goes to the back of the eye, where a tawnys mouth only goes back as far as the middle of the eye

    Last bird isnt a harris, lookes like a red tail hawk to me. Like the second red kite picture.

    Correct buzzards are generally a scavenger, only ever really taking mice and rats, they can still be flown just as flying bird, but yes very difficult to get hunting, also if hand reared can be aggressive towards people. depending on how the bird is raised depends on the bond, hand raised then...

    Or having seen and heard many display falconers, there are a few I'd call them something else, but may break the swear filter lol

    Buzzards are in the broadwing category, where as the hobby is a longwing (falco subbuteo), as for kites and owls, they are useless for hunting so are purely a display bird.
