I have a basic Hama Gamma 74 tripod, sufficent for my needs. My Dad would like a similar one but the Gamma is no longer made. Does anyone know if the star is the same or not? Thanks

I can recommend Kerso too, I've ordered two from him, I broke the first and I like it so much I've just ordered a second. If you pay by bank transfer he sends it out next day delivery. I paid Sunday and it arrived Tuesday morning.

I read somewhere that a rubberhood was a good idea to eliminate reflection from the glass when shooting through the car window. It worked really well and only cost me £5 from jessops. So would definalty recommend!

My 'My memory' card is great, just as fast as my scandisk extreme 4 card! Would have no hesitation is buying more or recommending them.

I've been amazed at the sharpness of mine even at 1.8. But thats in comparison to my kit lens! Also the photos I took with mine were in excellent light and I was very careful about focusing on eyes!
