upgrade the lens everytime , better glass will make more difference. I use a 70-200 2.8 non is on the wifes 450d occasionally and way better than the kit lens.

Hi , I did firmware upgrade , have used 8GB cards of both CF and SD without problem. I think you could use bigger cards with out firmware but it didnt use all the space so was pointless:)

havent checked yet on visa card as never use it other than balance transfer , but sod all on email from 2012 site so I assume got nothing , never mind will save a fortune on travel and hotels and get a decent holiday abroad ;)

thanks for the quick reply scott , I had read one of your posts. Probably will be used mainly at long end and wide open so might need to be the OS :D Only prob is I dinged my 300-800 two weeks ago and sigma are quoting £1K for repairs :'( and worse still could be weeks-months before parts...

Do you think the peaty water and silt could stain it to that extent ?? might be a possibility but looked too yellow and bright .

definitely yellow , really bright yellow neck and wings flecked with yellow. Head was a chocolate brown , looked like ducklings were of similiar marking , yellow around neck. I thought goldeneye from the eye but then the colours were wrong :thinking: thanks for all the replies will post more...

Hi , got a shot of this duck last night with ducklings but was at fair range in failing light , cant find it anywhere in Collins book , on the loch so shouldn't be something exotic released. Brown head and yellow on neck in case my photo is so poor if that helps. will try for better shots from...
