The Fabulous Fuji X owners thread

After all the effort, I think my brand new X100F & black leather case are going into the classifieds.

It's not doing it for me, it's just not giving me the enjoyment I get from my X-T bodies. Output is fine, but it stays in the bag, I'm just not using it. :(

I did the same when I bought my X100V. Had it 48 hours and returned it. When you know, you know

I'm 3 months into X-T4 ownership now. Really enjoying it. There's a few lenses I really fancy but very content for now. A few of my favourite images since picking the camera up.

These are great captures with great colours. Love them all.

We hired this brilliant Camper Van (Fiat Ducato) out last week for a week for my 60th birthday, a surprise from my wife. We drove 800 miles in/around the beautiful West Coast of Scotland, off grid stuff, utterly fabulous times in this Van which was called; Hamish.
I'd say within the next few years we'll try have a Camper Van as we aim for retirement etc......such a laid back way to travel/off grid material - fabulous!!

Sounds fantastic, I have a few friends who have converted VW Transporters and they also love it, I quite fancy the North Coast 500 trip in a Camper an, who knows I may hunt down Hamish!

I'm definitely going to have to put these Welsh slate quarries on my to do list -some fantastic images.

This weekends dilemma though is - I was hoping for a cloud inversion tomorrow morning, but that doesn't look possible with the forecast as it is. So i could go out for sunrise somewhere in the peaks even though conditions don't look promising, or head into woodland, or wildlife. Wildlife would probably be the red deer rut, but I probably wouldn't better the image from a couple of weeks ago..

I'll probably end up taking everything and try to do all of them. Go for the sunrise, then head into the old woods, and call at the deer moor on the way home!!! a recipe for failure I'm sure!

Have someone coming to check out the V85mm tomorrow, thinking if they take it I might be tempted by the 56mm, think I'd get more use out of it

Even though I don't use my 85mm much its a gem of a lens to have in the bag and on the occasions I do use it I love the results.
My dilemma is I still want the 56mm!

Whats the going rate for a kidney these days :ROFLMAO:

I really like the 85, but find indoors where I seem to be shooting mostly atm, it's a bit tight. The 56 will be more ideal [we just got a new kitty for one] I do have some pics of him coming, just been lazy lately about processing

Question: Is having more than one camera a waste? I'm starting to look at my X100V and my X-T4 and despite my love for it I'm wondering if I should even keep the V? The X-T4 can do everything I'd need and more. I'm essentially keeping the V for the shorter focal lengths with the WCL and TCL adapters and the X-T4 just for a long lens.

If I keep both do I carry both on landscape shoots to cover the focal ranges I need? Hmmmm.

I've had a minimum of 2 bodies for the last 10 years or so, I couldn't go down to just one. I could quite easily work with just an X-T body, and the right lenses over an X100, but then I'm finding that the X100 doesn't work for me anyway.

I did noticed your post before which is a shame. I love the V but I could buy a 23mm and put it on the X-T4 and it covers the focal length without a dedicated body for it. I'll need to be having a think about it. Just wanted to see what others where thinking.

I'm happy to buy you a 23mm lens if you send me the 100V if that's the way you decide to go [emoji16]

It has not gone unnoticed that, since I bought my X100F, the weather has turned to s***e! We're due to go to Gloucester on Tuesday, staying overnight, but there's a good chance we won't bother.

I can see myself buying some lighting gear from ebay and spending the winter annoying the crap out of the cats! :ROFLMAO:

Utterly boring image as its persisting it down here this morning ... so playing with the viltron 85 just to get better acquainted with the feel and stuff , and avoid hoovering

Focus on the mount of my 27mm 2.8. The espresso cup is pretty much touching the lens and so is the MacBook behind it, cropped in to look at that depth of field at min focus distance ....

I've been there when I got an XT2. With the 23mm 1.4 I was wondering when I'd use my X100T. And the other thing I was finding was that I was getting clumsy with the contols on each because they were similar enough to be familiar but not quite the same.

I ended up selling my X100T but I missed it after a a while. There are things that the X100 range do so well that is hard to match with a changeable lens camera. It's mainly the size I suppose which lends itself so much better to trips out where you want a camera with you but don't want it to dominate proceedings. I have an X-T4 now and a 23mm lens but have serious GAS for an X100V. Haven't had an X100 in my life for months now and I'm missing it badly!

I went for an xt30 over an xt3 for its size for travel and food photography

Increasing wish I had an xt3 and an x100v instead :)

Meet Milo, the new hardship in my life

V85 @ 1.8 on the H1 for all 3

There wasn't any need to shoot at 1.8 here as light [from window] was decent and there was no real 'bokeh' opportunity, but checking for sharpness wide open if nothing else. It is excellent for an 85mm, obviously I've PP'd them but not near as much as you might think - teensy bit of purple fringing in the highlights but one click and it's gone and it's much., much better at handling CA than other 85mm lenses I've owned

Nice set and he's a proper cutie. I'm sure he will keep you busy!

I have some alternative names for him atm! :bat::LOL: but after losing 2 cats after 6 and 9yrs it took herself a while to want to accept another - he's come from a rescue centre, was terrified and wouldn't come close to anyone after arriving but he is definitely making his mark now. No longer running from my feet when I pass, more jumping to attack them :ROFLMAO: so I would say he's settled :)
