Talk Photography Fantasy Football League(s) for 2020/21.

I think I know where I got confused, I looked at the match ups and seen next week's, where I play Average - then I seen I'd won and did 2+2 = 5 :D Hopefully the numbers tot up better for me over the coming weekend.

I've started watching Ben Foster's (goalkeeper for Watford) YouTube channel, "The Cycling GK" over the last few weeks. What has this got to do with the Fantasy Footy you may ask, well in one of his videos I've seen, he talks to a person who works at the training ground and says he is in 197th place in the Fantasy Football! :$ I'm only 3.8m behind. :$ :banghead:

Ben Foster offered to buy his team off him.

Completely forgot to change my team for this weekend... So McBurnie up front as captain, at least that paid off.

Left Raul up there with him so a solid 0

I completely forgot to look at my team before the weekend and have 2 Villa players but bat least I have Zaha on the bench. A pretty decent week all told. No players in tonight's games but 56 points in the bag with 19 to come from the bench.

I was beating Average up till last night, damnit! lol, lost because of one too many transfers yet again - must have been one of 'Averages' higher weeks? at 62pts? I still don't get their scoring, it shows me as having 68pts on the league table, but only 60 [accounting for those transfers] on the H2H

A huge score of 94 points. :$ the highest we have had so far I think, see Amber Army unsurprisingly extend their lead at the top of the league to 52 points. still ahead of Biggin Bangers (69) in 2nd. Klopp Klopp Boom (82) move up to 3rd, wight points behind, swapping places with Farcealona (67) who are just one point behind them. Penfold's Dangermice (88) remain in 5th, but now only two points behind Farcealona. :)

The average score for the week was 62 points.

Amber Army were, surprise surprise, the highest scorers of the week with 94 points. There were a few other teams in the 80's too. (y)

I got more than the average, :) with 66 points, but had -4 to come off for an extra transfer, so got the same as the average. It was good enough to move up a position to 19th though. :D

There's a Friday game this week, so the deadline for changes is Friday 11th Dec @18:30.

Biggin Bangers lost their 2nd H2H, against Klopp Klopp Boom 69 - 82, and are now only two points ahead of Amber Army, who won their H2H with horspath hounds 94 - 79. horspath hounds were unlucky to get beaten with such a high score. :( Klopp Klopp Boom move clear into 3rd place on 19 points moving from 6th > 3rd.

Farcealona won their H2H 67 - 50 against Woodys wonders to move up to 4th place on 18 points, joining Ball Oxes, Rotund FC and Mrs Smith's Boys, who all lost their H2H's.

I lost my H2H against Hardly Athletic in a not very close 62 - 89. Thankfully I remain in 16th place, but now only two points ahead of Atletico High Street. :$

Farcealona and Mrs Smith's Boys are both on 18 points, and play each other, so unless they draw, one is moving above the other. ;)

Ball Oxes lost their H2H with AVERAGE 60 - 62 after seemingly being caught out by losing points for an extra transfer.

Next to take on AVERAGE are JUSTSTAYEDUP. Chúc may mắn. ;)

Thanks again for the round up, must be a bit of a chore at times when you're team is struggling? I was down same spot for a while last year and did climb eventually though [think some of the other managers just fell asleep :D ]

I'm only allowing myself the one free transfer this week, was pretty much a straight swap, see how that goes

Where my team is is separate to the right ups thankfully. ;) I don't necessarily think people are interested in my results/placings, but it is part of the image for the tables, where I am, and obviously I to try an make it a bit more personable, and to hopefully encourage others to interact.

Be a bit of a d*** if I stopped the doing it because my team was not doing well.

It will be interesting to see if I actually get to the bottom, trying not to obviously. It is already quite bad as I think a couple of teams had no points counted for the first gameweek! :$

Nah, I mean just getting motivated yourself to do it when you're doing poorly - I gave up for a few weeks last year but came back to it, thought I'd fight relegation :D

I hope there's no relegation. :$ ;)

I want to do as best as I can, and you don;t do that by giving up. I've been doing it since 2009. Last year was the worst finish, about 1.7mth. Atm moment I'm about double that, :$ so better than 1.7m is the aim, which is going to be difficult. Best I've finished was 125k, so sometimes it all comes together. Seems like almost every change is wrong atm, and when it's right, it's the wrong person as Captain, or I'm picking the injury prone. I suppose all of us at the bottom have similar tales to tell. No doubt I am being beaten by people who are no longer actively playing too, which is not a nice thought.

Yeah I hear ya, I got over myself and started fighting back a bit last couple of seasons, just lowered my target - mid table in place of top 3 for example. I do like a good scrap :D My main issue these days, and I know it full well each time, is too many transfers each week thinking I'll eventually click with the dream team. Going to try be a bit more patient, do a bit more research [I don't follow the premiership really, just go on what I hear at work or quick reports of games in the news] and resist trying to grab every 'hot-player-of-the-week'

I look forward to the write ups, mini leagues make FPL much better on the competitive side. I'm happy to be in 3rd at the moment, things are starting to come together after an inconsistent start. Obviously I'm aiming to match last season's result though

Consistent results, both week on week and season on season is difficult, this is my 5th year and I've had a high finish of 1463 and a low of 3.2million. If there's one thing I've come to realise, it is don't chase last week's points, plan ahead based on form and fixtures.

I hope I won't jinx myself by posting for the first time all season! I've been AWOL from the forum since the summer, although I did remember to post here to say I would be taking part again.

Thanks for the great write-ups, redhed - I have enjoyed catching up with them tonight :) I think this is my best season of FF and I have had a couple of really high-scoring weeks but, as we all know, things can change really quickly at this time of year and plans are likely to go out of the window if players get injured or rested over the holiday fixtures.

Ah man, screw this game ..... stick 3 Chelsea defenders on, because they're doing well up to now right? ... and I do have that Everton forward so at worst if he's the one to break them I'll get something ... nope!:ROFLMAO:

Had a really terrible day, think I'll go back to multiple transfer strat. Whoever has me in the H2H, GG ...

I have 2 Chelsea defenders and 1 Everton so a mixed bag.

22pts here with only one striker and goalie to go - thankfully not playing against one another! Looking likely to be my worst week in a while

25 here. 26 before Doucoure got a late yellow.

Still got a few to play tomorrow, including my captain.

Don't worry just yet... Every one is low scoring this week, I'm only on 34 but have risen 150k in the rankings!!!

Amber Army (53) remain atop of the league, though there is a new 2nd place, Farcealona (62). Their lead remains 52 points as those close behind swap places seemingly each week. Biggin Bangers (47) drop from 2nd > 4th. Klopp Klopp Boom (58) stay in 3rd, and Penfold's Dangermice (53) are still in 5th.

Highest scorers of the week were Hardly Athletic with 68 points.

The average point score for the week was 51 points.

For a change, I was slightly above the average with 59 points. :) I resisted doing any transfers that cost me money this week. Though the change I made, Lloris for Schmeichel cost me four points.  Best choice was making Vardy my Captain, and him getting me 26 points alone. :) I stay in 19th place, though I am a lot closer to Rotund FC in 18th place, this week at least. ;)

For those not keeping close tabs, there are lots of games this week, the deadline for making changes this week is Tue 15th Dec @16:30

Btw,
if you have Amazon Prime you will be able to watch any or all for free. ;)

Biggin Bangers increased their lead to four points ahead of Amber Army, after winning their close H2H with Rotund FC 43 - 40, and Amber Army drawing their H2H with Ball Oxes 53 - 53.

Klopp Klopp Boom and Farcealona both won their H2H's and remain in 3rd and 4th.

JUSTSTAYEDUP were beaten by AVERAGE by one point, 51 - 50. :$ Unlucky.

Next to take on AVERAGE are horspath hounds. Iyi şanslar. ;)

I was beaten in a not very close 65 - 59 by Woodys wonders, :( though I remain in 16th, for now, as Atletico High Street also lost below me.

whoops, didn't make the deadline! maybe it'll work out though current team weren't so hot last week

Ahhh s***, didn't notice the deadline... too busy playing football manager yesterday.

Looks like ill have an injured McBurnie upfront as captain tomorrow against Man U

I was just looking on the FF site and noticed that someone has 63 points from just yesterdays games. :$ Then looked a bit closer at their profile, this person, Chakhlatiz, had also made 17 transfers at a cost of -64 points! :$ They had more transfers than there are players in the squad.

They have only been playing for three weeks, and last week they had 36 points, but then had -52 points for 14 transfers.

They seem to be playing a different game.

Jayz, thought I was bad with a few -12pt weeks under the belt :ROFLMAO:

I have learned though, trying to keep transfers at a minimum, none this week [only because I forgot though!]

There's a sub game where some people try to have the highest team value, and don't bother about points at all, so its all about maximising profit with transfers to gain price rises. There's then an even wierder one where people try to end up with 0 points for the season!

I imagined it could have been some friends making however many changes they like each week, but whoever gets the most points, without counting the transfers, ;) wins. It could be an interesting game. The restriction would still be the 100m limit, and as the season goes on, and player values rising, choices start to narrow.

Top two remain the same, though Amber Army (56) have slightly increased their lead ahead of Farcealona (43) to 64 points. :)

Biggin Bangers (50) swap places with Klopp Klopp Boom (42) to move up to 3rd. Penfold's Dangermice stay in 5th.

It seemed to be not the most high scoring of weeks, for a lot of people, with 8 under the average of 42.

Mrs Smith's Boys were the highest scorers with 61 points.

I was one of the 8 below the average with 39 points. It enabled me to move up a place to 18th though. :)

No Friday game today after a busy week, so the deadline for making changes is Sat 19th Dec @11:00.

Biggin Bangers stay 4 points ahead Amber Army, on 33 points, after winning their H2H with Woodys wonders 50-38. Amber Army beat Penfold's Dangermice 56 - 43. Klopp Klopp Boom stay in 3rd, 4 points behind, after coming out ahead of Rotund FC 42 - 30. Farcealona remain in 4th, despite losing a very close H2H with Banished to Riyadh 44 - 43, but are joined on 21 points by Mrs Smth's Boys who won their H2H with DTFC Snapper in a not very close 61 -41, and jump from 10th > 5th.

horspath hounds saw off AVERAGE in a not close 50 - 42.

Next to take on AVERAGE are 2nd placed Amber Army. Succes. ;)

Despite scoring below the average for the week, I came out as winner in my H2H with JUSTSTAYEDUP 39 - 31. :) I remain in 16th as those close around me all won too.

my selection skills really came to the fore this week, with my XI amassing a modest 44 points, whilst those I benched, excluding the keeper who didn't play, scored 21 :/

I can just beat your incompetence. 44 on the field, 24 on the bench [emoji849]

Pulling out all of the stops today as I’m up against the Chosen Ones. Triple captain plus bench boost should do the trick!
