After much though and deliberation. Much thought about is this actually going to be worth it etc I've decided to see a psychiatrist who pushed me out the door and told me to get on with it. This is my first attempts at doing this kind of thing. Just doing this intro segment took 5 goes...

Up at Bamburgh Castle last week, bit chilly but some nice clear days. Plenty of photo ops for sunrises and sunsets there at the moment. Probably not the most original of compositions but had wife and child in the car! Thanks for looking folks

Please for the Love of God Help me Choose a New Tripod!

First I'll apologise if this is a common question. I would have thought it was but a search of the forum suggests otherwise. I feel like I'm lost in a sea of potential new tripods! There's way too much choice out there and with the nearest decent camera shop nearly 100 miles away I haven't had...

Hi, I have started to learn more about landscape photography and have started experimenting with long exposures on my local beach mostly at sunrise. I have some round screw ND filters which I use to make the water all misty and smooth however the sky is always blown out. I know now that I...

    Softness Under a Steel Sky

Light breeze with high altitude cirrus clouds combined with coastal sand-dune reeds .. Gets me every time .. Double exposure (in camera)...

    The Man in the Sand

Morning all, It wasn't until last night, when I was going through some potential locations for a photo weekend with a mate who is visiting that I actually saw the man in the sand. I think he's pointing at something. What with this and then last month the face in the waves ...I think I need to...

Greetings all! I am new to this community, but not new to photography. I am an amateur landscape and Motorsport photographer from the North West, and I'm stuck in an inability to motivate myself to get out and shoot. Great Orme

I was lucky to get very dramatic clouds and light when going up the Great Orme in Llandudno. I stitched a panorama in Photoshop, introduced a colour cast which I think added for drama and surrealism. There is always a good shot waiting at that place to be taken.
