weekly Bebop's 52 for 2020 - week 52: Decor(ate)

Thanks @minx - you're testing my memory now ha ha! I almost had to go back and see my artificial shot - the plastic flowers - I remember now!

Thanks for taking the time to go through them and all the positive comments. And thanks for your hand in keeping things running behind the scenes. Happy Christmas! :)

Abstract: It really is!. Great colours and I like the composition of it all.
Showcase: Just Wow! (y)

Week 52: Decor (ate) - decoration

Yet another Christmas bauble and probably my last chance to use my hand made bokeh filter. It was unbelievably fiddly to get it to dangle the right way :)

Very nice Bee (y) that works really well.
And congrats on finishing :)

Nice! and the bokeh filter works wonderfully!
Many thanks Simon :)

I had to google that. Looks like fun, I may have to try that next year
Nicely shot bauble. Gratz on getting to the end. Now it's time to pop over to the 2021 sign up thread. Remember... Hotel California rules apply ;)
Thanks Tim. It's the Hotel California bit that worries me ha ha! I hate to give up!

The bokeh is a lot of fun. I tried it a few years ago and did a talk with slideshow for my camera club recently - which is why I have this one to hand. Christmas lights work so well for it.

Here's my special Alpen filter  If you have a square filter holder, you could try just using a card with the shape cut out as a filter.

Is there even a lens in there?
It looks like you've built your own adapter from cardboard !!!

And there was I thinking the Canon 85mm f/1.8 adapted to my Fuji might be a fun idea.

NB. You know you want to sign up again ;)

Ha ha! There is a small lens, but I can tell you it was a bit tricky manually focusing it and then trying to slip the filter on - design flaw I think ;) needed a narrower collar. This is a cheap way to play

I can't help but feel I missed out on getting a blue peter badge.

I expect I will sign up... just been thinking about hatching a plan.... probably easier to stick to the 52!

Hi Bebop, excellently done, have you looked online for Lensbaby aperture disks, they fit on the lens front, there are some fake ones too that are much cheaper. Depends on your lens front size though, they do a lot of different shapes and you get some blanks too.
Nice finish to TP52 2020.

Thanks Clive - I am very happy to have completed it and on time too!

I did know that lens baby did something, but haven't really investigated. They do these omni things now to add crystals and things on the front, giving flare and rainbows They look like a bit of fun, but very specialised.

I've bought a twist optic this year and I'd almost forgotten about it - I could have tried that with the ordinary bokeh couldn't I? I must get it out for a play!
