Daily Donnie's 365 for 2013

Wow, that's a striking portrait. He looks so pensive. I love the contrast between the clean, light hands and the shadowy face.

(Been lurking around the 365s for a while now - hope you didn't mind me commenting.)

Love the portrait of your son..... very dark gritty emotional shot and that's exactly the kind i like.....

Was he pleased with it too?...

Just catching up here, I do like the eaves dropping dummies (y) Love the portrait of your son

The vase shot I like the moody lighting of it, but as you said, maybe a bit of more room at the top of the shot may be better :).

Like Day 38 too, lol can't go wrong with a bit of camera porn ;), and loving the concept of Day 39, well thought out.

Great portrait shot of your son, really works well.

Cracking shot of your son Paul! Very moody, excellent low key. Loving your abstracts too, very interesting shots indeed

LOL, they were going into my mushroom soup for last nights dinner them :) 'twas lovely too. :)

Todays is a very different shot, 'er indoors decided we were going to watch a pancake race and so off to Olney village where the whole thing apparantly originated hundreds of years ago.

It's very much a snap really, sky's crap but not a lot you can do about it really so went for a lower vantage point and set the camera hoping for some blur action which I got and the bonus was that she's completely off the ground mid jump.

Like the dof and composition of the paint brush shot, and the mushroom's are making me peckish :).

Love the pancake race shot, what a bunch of ******s eh??? ;)

Those mushrooms look great - I bet the soup was tasty! I like the paintbrush as well, great angle on that and as for the pancake race....:LOL::LOL::LOL:.....I wish I'd been able to be there and see that, it looks hilarious! I love that old guy taking photos of the backs of the runners! :D

She ended up coming third to the woman chasing her with the warpaint!

I really like the paint brush (y) it works well and the focus/DoF are just about spot on (y) I cannot stand mushrooms, the taste the texture, but at least you've got a nice photo out of it (y) I think todays is really nice, if your weather was even marginally like mine today thats the best that you could have got from the sky :bang:

Like the paintbrush and the mushrooms are reminding me I need to make dinner tonight!

Did they not have pancakes in their pans in the race? If so, was the girl in front's one superglued in?

On a catch up, yesterdays shot first

This is actually for an ebay listing tonight but obviouisly the post processings done for the project.

Then today's is a close up of my dogs eye as I needed to take some to email to the vet as he has a nasty tumour come up (out of shot) and I noticed my reflection and the brolly in his eye, I just like it.

Cheers all
Mind you they were past you in about 15 seconds, that girl at the front was flying

The winner finished in 56 sec ( a new record), so they were pretty speedy!

Yup they have to flip the pancake at the finish line otherwise they're DQ'd. :)

Really loving yesterday's shot, the processing on it really suits it, and if I'm honest I'm not sure about the close up of the dog's eye, sorry :(

I only liked it for the quirkyness of the shot to be honest and it was late in the day and I didn't want to fall too far behind.

He's a great dog and unfortunatly it looks like the poor bugger has a nasty cancer, we'll know more in the coming weeks I guess. :(

Cheers Simon :)

I have 2 today where I was just bored and thought I may get some nice evening light but I was too early rather than too late for the shot I wanted.*
So, got a couple I was happy with anyway.
Processed in Lightroom using an aged photo preset then tweaked.

Cheers all, yeah it had to be a sepia like tone really for the processing as I thought it just fits the old scooter :)

Today's is a quicky really as I took it for another thread on here but I did use off camera flash etc so not just a snap :)
