Flickr?

The photostream is the overview of all your images. The number of photostreaam views is the amount of times that someone has clicked on the "photostream" link (or your username). That is obviously going to be a different figure from those that have clicked on a specific image of yours. Not really that hard to understand if you think about it.

You are right, it was just me getting confused about how views were going through the roof for a certain image for a few days v the photostream views.

Anyway things seem to have quietened down now.

Anyone ever had any unusual activity with their photos over at flickr? The reason I ask is that one pic I posted the other day has got over 340 views and seems to rising by the day, my other ones have some views but nowhere near the other one. A glitch perhaps?

This is the trouble with Flickr, don't let it knock your confidence Paul, as Ricardo has said, do it for you and if you need help post some up on here for Critique, there's a lot of knowledge here.
As for Flickr then have a look at explore, yes there's some great stuff on there but you get stuff like a random bus, a picture someone has uploaded to sell stuff etc, these seem to get a lot of quick views and comments so get onto explore, it's nothing to do with the quality just how explore works, but as before, amount the tat are some stunning images.

Not sure really. I think its an improvement over the old one. I much prefer to see image on a black background (without having ot go in to Lightbox mode) but its early days yet.
I can imagine a lot of people wont like it at first. People dont like change, even if its for their own good.

What i dont like is that there will be adds on our pages unless we pay double what a Pro account was costing. It looks like those with a pro account can continue with paying the lower fee but if thats not the case im off. I still have a Smugmug account so ill probably use that more. Its a more professional looking website anyway (not that im a professional

I'm getting used to the new layout now and am finding my way round quite nicely. What I did do though was cancel my pro account, and THEN I find out I could have kept it at the original price I was paying! :bang: :bonk:

If you want more comments and favourites you need to post a bit on other people's photos (I think/assume some get fed up if somebody never comments back, often a comment will get people looking at your stream) and join groups appropriate to what you photograph.
