again! I have sold my netbook today eBook ready will shortly be following it through the door
Still loving it. It is fantastic for grabbing and responding to emails whilst at work. Want a case though...
Sod mouse and keyboard, you need one of these. I think in my case this is the final nail in the coffin

Buggers, I would have bought an iPad on the strength of it.
I think they would sell thousands just for that app. I almost shed a tear when I learnt it wasn't real. First Santa, now this!
What about Santa?
how does it perform in bright sunlight ? thats what im interested in, for reading in the summer...
Meh - you suck for having one before me Thanks for the write up.
Dub
(we have an employee visiting our HQ in the US at the moment and I am praying he managed to locate one for me. Everyone is sold out so far. He has orders from 3 people so far lol)
Very jealous!! I'm currently selling CDs on play.com to try to fund my purchase!
Justification to the girlfriend: CDs were in the loft anyway so the iPad wont cost me anything therefore it doesn't matter that it's an unnecessary gadget! lol

What are the first generation of Ipad apps are like? Getting back to the subject.
On it! Thanks matey! Looks to be just the guardian pics?
Sorry Carl - missed this one. The apps are good - have got Plants v Zombies, Desktop Connect (VNC) and Tweetdeck.
You can only get the apps in the uk itunes store by searching for them as there is no iPad App section yet so it is a job to know/see which are the ones to download.
What I can confirm is that the iPhone apps perform really well - albeit pixcelated when x2 expanded to fill the screen.
Kindle is available so will be giving that a try this afternoon when I can find a book I want to buy!
I can honestly say i dont want it But i do want a macbook
According to the people on MacRumours, it will charge from USB providing the screen is off (and you aren't using a really old computer). Anything reasonably modern will slowly charge it so long as that large screen isn't also drawing power.
They're rubbish I don't want one
