That's a 1956 Harley and it is just older than me.I knew, I remember seeing that picture before!
I was hinting that you might be pretending to be from a younger generation than me...... (which you probably are)
..... and how many people know that Woodbine cigarette packets were exactly 15 thou thick but squashed to 12 thou when it was damp? The clever ones will know that points set up with a damp strip of cig packet, would be over advanced and might fire you (or your leg) over the handlebars when you try to kick the bike up! How do I know this, you may ask?No longer run anything with points but do get tempted from time to time!
I had my phone with me and still forgot.Times like that are among the very few occasions I remember my phone has a camera in it!
Always worth running them in properly makes a difference in the long runGot as far as taking trousers off to swap to Kevlar jeans for a short ride when I heard the unwelcome sound of the rain drumming on the conservatory roof. Should have checked the forecast earlier! Need to get a few more miles on Mrs Nod's to get it run in so she can keep up a bit better!!!
I heard 40kg. lighter. Still too much for me though. The newer one isn't hugely lighter that the old but feels it.
Here's the one that I sold for £55 back in 1967 or so! (after going over the big pond and back again), then turning up not far from me a few years ago!I was at Bala yesterday and an immaculate Vincent Comet turned up.
I was so awe struck I forgot to take a pic.
