New lens - squirrels and ladybirds

Hi all,
My wife got me a great Bday present. Canon 100mm f2.8 macro lens. I ran out to get some pics. I found a ladybird running around on some sheets. Also there were squirrels running about in a neighbouring wood. Please let me know what you think.
With regards to the squirrel shots I didn't want to use my flash as it would scar of the little guys/gals unfortunately that meant bumping up the ISO. Are there any tips for this situation?

ISO is your best option imo... they don't look that bad for it at all

They look good...The squirrel shots could have been slightly faster for a sharper image.

Your 7D should be fine up to 3200 before it's noticeable anyway so you shouldn't have too much of a problem bumping it up.

I think sometimes photographers can be scared of bumping up the ISO but with today's latest cameras, the results are so good all the way through the range. I have a Nikon D7000 and wouldn't have any problems all the way up to 12,800.
