New Nikon Mag out soon.

Cheers - I'll have a swatch at that. Possibly a duplicate of much of the Canon material under the Nikon name, but I'll have a good look before deciding on it's worth.

Mark,

Thanks for the information

Just took up the 3 issues for a fiver offer. Will see if it's worth the subscription :)

My problem with brand specific magazines is that I feel they'll concentrate on the kit rather than the photography. Another problem I have with photography magazines in general is that they repeat themselves after 12 to 18 months - mind you that's something that you could probably accuse all magazines of doing.

Nevertheless, thanks for the info. I'll probably have a gander at it when I'm next back in blighty.

No problem.

I have been out with my friend when he tests new Canon equipment about to come on the market and although i'm a Nikon user, i have found his tests very thorough and his articles very informative. So i look forward to seeing the new Nikon mag.
With a bit of luck they may let me test some new equipment:naughty:

Did you need to take out a DD Steve?

You need to take out a DD for the 3 for £5 offer and cancel it at issue 3 or the DD will continue to run.

Alternatively, buy 12 issues for £49.99 with a CC or one off purchase with a debit card.

It's about time! Should think Future have had enough comments from Nikon photographers!

I got the email about the Nikon magazine being launched. I subscribe to the Canon one, Photo Plus, and I see the recently departed editor, Chris George, is going to be the editor of the Nikon one now.

Be interesting to see how that one is played after many years of Chris being a Canon man!

Stand by for the "just a short walk to the dark side" comments Mark!

They took their time bringing out a Nikon version of the mag.

I wonder how much the mags will be similar with just different pictures of cameras. ;)

I used to get Photo Plus and really enjoyed it, but did find the following 12 months, the topic / content were somewhat repeatable on occasions - which I suppose is fairly common.

All mags suffer from that. Bound to happen.

thank you have subscribed for the first 3 issues - hope someone posts a reminder to cancel the direct debit before they start taking the full amount !

Just placed my order for the £5 for three issues.

And also set a reminder on my phone to cancel the DD in January if I don't want to continue it.

Hi

I have stopped buying magazines a long time ago. Books are a far cheaper option.

The information in a book is far more complete.

Graham

I got a news letter (email) about this mag last week but there was no 3 for £5.00, found it now thanks, I'll give it a go.

Just signed up. Coincides with my £5 for 5 months for Digital SLR Photography ending

Got mine this afternoon....post is always late. Had a quick flick, just seems like most other mags.

Likewise, mine arrived this morning and not had a chance to read it yet .... still, baby sitting tonight :-)

Mine arrived yesterday. A quick look reveals what could be an interesting magazine. Having more detailed look with a glass or two of wine!!

Now that sounds good! Might do the same!

Had a look through. Nothing spectacular and most articles could be linked to any make - perhaps I was expecting something different.

Glad I'm on one of the promo's as I dont think its worth a fiver.

Probably have to find a high street WHS. The ones in the stations are getting so small they're moving into the mouse holes now. And the number of photography mags has shrunk while the number of glossy 300-page How To Perform Miracles With Your Camera "magazines" at £10-20 a shot have increased.

Am I the only one who would prefer to spend a bit more and get a proper book rather than a glorified magazine?

Going to have a look in the local Tesco to see if they sell it and maybe have a look through it before I buy!
