Lol, I have no bias. I started out with Sony, I've owned Canon, Fuji, Olympus and Nikon. I was actually gutted I didn't get on with the A7riii as I'd made my mind up that I deffo wanted itYou'll be surprised how much things change when you leave behind the preconception and the bias behind. Takes a while to get over all that need for a huge DSLR brain washing
Portrait orientation is once again awkward regardless of the body. You'd have to use a vertical grip in either case.
I'm used to pretty heavy lenses (such as the 150-600mm) but balance will sometimes dictate where you hold the lens, the more front heavy the further forward you need to hold the lens. This may or may not be more uncomfortable. I compared lenses that I use regularly and found the A7Riii more uncomfortable to use and more unbalanced.YMMVI'll never understand the balance criticism against smaller cameras. Do people fit a 400mm f2.8 and hold it only by the body? With every camera and lens I've ever owned I hold the camera with my right hand and my left is under the lens to use the zoom and focus rings, balance is then somehow achieved
