A couple more

This one of a series has raised a little alarm bell for me re the AF issue, i need to go through the rest of them and check if i had the AF point over the cats head as they are all soft as it ran towards me, and this isnt the sharpest i have seen from the camera !!

Oh dear....I'm nervous of posting any now, those are all so good! Ian, I'm so jealous of the Tiger running out of the water....mine was OOF+ ;)

Anyway, really nice to meet you all; it was a really super day. Anyone else got aching arms from holding a camera all day?

Carole the Snow and Amur Leopards are very very nice :) shame you clipped the Amur's ear but im being nitty now ;) the Cheetah and Tiger would stand a light sharpen in PS too :)

im getting used to carrying the kit now, my neck suffers when i drag the 600 about though lol

Carole, heres a quick edit in CS2

Cheetah1.jpg

This was USM on the lightness channel only, applied 4 or 5 times (cant remember now)

After resizing,

Switch to Lab Colour Mode,

Select the lightness channel.

Apply USM with these settings, Amount 100%, Radius 0.2 pixels, Threshold 0, up to 5 times depending on the suject

Switch back to RGB mode

and save.

I use the labmode sharpening on the lightness channel.
Using amount 100%, radius 0.2%, threshold 0. I apply this upto 5 times
which reduces the risk of adding artifacts to the image.

You have no reason to be nervous Carole, keep posting. (y)
