That happened to me a couple of times over the years (rotten fence posts) so I had concrete fence posts installed since. And my garden fence came down,

Ah ok, a bit easier/cheaper to fix hopefully. It's a concrete post but the wood itself has deteriorated too far.
We actually have 5....How come you have 4 ?
Just seen they are looking for a missing surfer off the south coast
WTF, Darwinism in action
Needles reported gust of 92 mph (148 kph) and Bembridge Coastguards have had to say "don't take your kids into the surf!"
WTF is wrong with these people!!!
Have a quick look on windy.com there's an absolute monster brewing in the Atlantic thurs/Fri.
It's calmed down a lot now, but earlier on, it was like someone was pressure washing the outside of the house.
What is it they say?I live in a static home on the South Coast .... doesn't feel very static at he moment!
wow! I hope they'd evacuated.In Hawick...

Yes! I had lots of long tailed tits visit and various other tits. Also the squirrels came for food and I hadn't filled up their feeder. I did later. What impressed me today was that while bins, fences and various farm animals were flying through the air the goldfinches were flitting around the feeders as if it were no more than a breeze.
We actually have 5....
One for general waste
One for metal and plastic,
One for cardboard and paper
One for glass
One for garden waste
And a small caddy for food waste.

You mean you get rain that's not horizontal?Ah, raining again here.
But it's the regular vertical stuff, not the high pressure horizontal version we had earlier.
Sadly we did come across a dead dolphin on the beach, and apparently there was another further along the coast.
