To back up what I was saying check out extra gear on I player, far better than the actual show!
Chris E has a large base of haters in the UK, so it would be nice to hear from someone who has never seen him or heard of him before, what they thought of his presentation skills?
I was a bit put out when he took over from Terry Wogan on the breakfast show, but thought I'd give him a chance, and slowly he settled in and did a good job,I'm not an Evans hater, I had no opinions of him whatsoever before this as I didn't really watch his shows or listen to R2.
He was bloody awful on TG, I'm surprised that's even being debated.

although over time, I think that now that success has gone to his head a little, and his head is going slowly up his own arse.
I'd rather listen to him, than watch him though that's for sure.
IIRC, JC still has an interest in the programme even now he's no longer directly involved.
Ok, nothing else on last night so I did download it. And to be fair it wasn't that bad that it isn't beyond the possibility of improvement. Personally I would get rid of MLB and have Sabine in the studio. And will someone please give Chris a haircut, put on some proper clothes and tell him to stop shouting. Other than that it wasn't too bad for the first show.I only caught the last 20 minutes of the first show, and thought it was pretty terrible. So much so I couldn't even be bothered to watch the whole show via player.
I will watch the next, but only because the trailer suggests some sporty SUVs (if there is such a thing) and we are in the market for a change and want to see what they get up to. Although I doubt they'll feature our options.
Anyway I think it was a fail to just do the same thing with different presenters, I found MLB especially terrible. It didn't work for me at all.
I think the idea is for the other presenters to come and go? I also think that it has the possibility for improvement. It's never going to be the same and that needs to be accepted.Ok, nothing else on last night so I did download it. I think my initial reaction was based on that it was too much the same. The same kind of silly stunts, I was hoping for it to be different and that they put their own mark on it.I think the idea is for the other presenters to come and go? Finally the truth outsOr perhaps I'm just annoyed that Chris beat Sabine in their dog fight
Same here.Gotta say, I'm really enjoying this episode.
Wish they'd fix the studio sound though. No idea what they did differently before but they need to be doing it again.

I wasn't going to, but I did switch over about 10 minutes in and Evans was shouting at me, so I watched something on Netflix instead.
I wonder if Evans will be tweeting the viewing stats today?
I'd probably ditch Netflix in favour of Amazon prime. At least that way you'll get you Clarkson fix which appears to be what many are missingWho cares what he tweets. If you don't like it don't watch it. If you're interested how it develops then stick with it. In my opinion you missed a good episode last night. If I was you I'd stick with Netflix on a Sunday night to stop you worrying about what Chris Evans tweets.
