I find it quite easy, firstly make sure corrected autofocus frame is turned on, you now have two rectangles in the OVF, one in the centre, one to the right and slightly lower.
The centre AF rectangle covers distances of approx 3-4 metres or more, the dotted rectangle below and to the right is the corrected one for close focus.
In your mind draw a diagonal line between the two off them, if your shooting at around 2 metres the corrected AF rectangle will appear roughly at the mid point of the diagonal line you've drawn between them.
With frequent use you get so used to it that it predicting where your focus point is becomes almost second nature
