I think I really need to get a rig made, anyone have some links to share now? Last I saw some of it was hard to find in the UK.
Seems to be lots of shots in car parks, go and find some more interesting locations guys!
yes guys, stop shooting in car parks and see if you can get the nurburgring closed for a few hours so you can shoot at the karrussel!

Just because the nurburgring is technically a toll road...

One that's rarely used with a layby would be best, so you're only blocking the road for the actual shot, not setting up etc
Basically, you need to find a stretch where you can setup the rig without it being in the way of anyone that comes along. You also need a stretch which has good visibility so if you are in the road someone can slow down and let you move out the way safely. Find a road like that and police will normally be miles away. If they do come along, just be honest with what you're doing, you'd have to be a muppet to get nicked for it!

It's amazing how much you improve with practice! These are excellent first shots tho!

the setup
Stooooooooop that will not fit through the gap.
HI mtxfiesta,
What have you used to attach yoyr pole/tripod to the suction glass holders?
I've read through this whole thread a few times I think its time to have a crack at this!
Thanks
this will sound so bad but i use two of these http://www.calumetphoto.co.uk/eng/product/calumet_studio_clamp/mf6820 and they are clamed on to the suction cups then the pole is cable tied to the clamp
