WAMT....what annoyed me today!

People who occupy a seat before they have stood in a bloody long queue and purchased anything!
And to add to that, people that sit at a table with their own a picnic and the tables are clearly marked for "patrons of the restaurant / cafe"

especially as there are plenty of "picnic" tables just outside ...

Diverticulitis. :(
Eased up a bit today and I'm hoping to avoid the antibiotics if possible.

No rush to get to work today, gentle drive along one junction of the motorway about 75-80mph with everyone flying past.
Old boy pulls out into the second lane to pass a lorry, when traveling at the same speed and sits in the middle lane at the same speed. I'm in no rush, back off, lots of room between us, I wait until the outside lane is clear and overtake.

He has his middle finger out as I go past. WTF? Why? Nothing I did encouraged that behavior, then he also did it to the next car, who took exception. Someone just having a bad day, deciding to police the roads?

2nd day off work with a back spasm.
Weekend plans reluctantly cancelled. :(

Zenfolio emailing me to tell me my subscription is going up when I emailed them months ago to cancel and even had a response from them. Wish there was a local office where I could go and let rip at them.

There was mention of a "snowflake generation" before..
and that ( above) concludes the case for the prosecution ;)

Either a summer cold or heavy hay fever. :(

Hope Ruth's back spasm has eased.

I've just assumed it's because shows that would normally be post watershed are shown prewatershed (generally speaking, violence is nowadays okay, bad language is okay as long not the C-word, nudity/sex not okay).

or In other words, kids that should be in bed well before 9pm aren't ;)

Agreed, it's happening more & more.

Not sure if we are becoming softer because of such things, or it's the other way around?

Not always the case. I remember watching a BBC news prog a while ago & they gave out the 'some viewers.................' warning. This was around midnight BTW.

Had the 'blue screen of death' on my desktop recently & last night it died. :(
It's gone into the PC doctor this morn to see if he can revive it. (hopefully not too expensive)

ATM i'm trying to use one of the kid's laptop, but I don't like it, it's too small & the keys don't seem in the right place somehow! (n)

Is your keyboard a USB one you can plug into said laptop? And even screen potentially...

I've watched a few of those episodes on the BbC where people write in with their complaints and/or concerns. Sad I know but it highlighted how easily upset people were over small matters. It wouldn't surprise me if somebody wrote in complaining that they weren't prewarned.

The fridge-freezer went bang yesterday.
Or, more accurately, CLANGCLANGCLANGCLANGCLANGCLANGCLANGCLANGCLANG... *silence* while the whole 6'x2'x2' contraption shook violently.
It's not cold in there any more, and the back wall of the fridge part has developed an alarming bulge.
Not looking good...

Edited for sizing error

Never mind, Barbie dolls don't tend to eat much anyway. I'm sure she won't mind starving for a few days until you can get her a replacement. ;)

At the risk of causing offence, at 2" x 2" x 6" that sounds more like a vibrator than a fridge... ;) :p

More seriously, wasn't a fridge thought to be the cause of the Grenfell Tower fire?

I believe so, yes, but mine's been unplugged for two days now, so I'm hoping it won't catch fire.
That swelling on the back wall of the fridge is still getting bigger, however.
Last night, it pushed the shelves so far forward, they opened the door, and I couldn't get it closed again this morning without moving a couple of them to the bottom.
I have no idea what's going on in there, but it's happening without any power.

How old is it?

It must be about 15 years old.

I have no idea what's going on with the bulging, but it would maybe point to some kind of gas expansion.
I think I'd be moving it out of the house pretty sharpish tbh.

The way it's going, I'll get home to find the kitchen wall gone, and (whats left of) the fridge already in the garden. TEOTWIN.gif

Rather than leave it in situ, please get it out of your home asap. Lord knows what will happen if the fridge/freezer wall gives way due to the pressure being built up inside.

Makes me think the compressor gave up the ghost with some drama........but the increasing size of bulge sounds odd but potentially could be the refrigerant gas trapped in an inter layer space.

At 15 years old would it still have old style CFC but whatever it is needs a specialist to properly access and recover the gas and the quicker the better!!!!!!
