Came home this evening, heard a Blue Tit giving the alarm, looked out the window and just happened to see this Sprawk having a bath. You can actually see a bit of blood on its beak in the first image.

Sorry that they are all a bit samey, but I couldn't move anywhere else otherwise it would have been off.

wow I do not even get sparrows in my garden (cats) let alone one of these in the bird bath.

I agree that this is probably not something that happens very often and am very pleased to have witnessed it.
 
Great set of images Sparrowhawks can be a pain to photograph (y)
Best time to catch them is when they are feeding.
