Merlin entertain charging £6 to park the car on top of their extortionate entry prices
And you are happy because? ...
:p

Slow roast pork wth crackling, sweet potatoes and Courgette spaghetti with red wine followed by mint choc ice cream. Great way to end a bank holiday weekend.

WCMUY - rescuing an exhausted bumble bee with my bee-obsessed daughter. [emoji219]

WCMUT - rang the wife on the way home to see if she had arrived at Stratford to park up and tube it to o2 to see Ed Sheehan... "almost there" she said, "although its taken me past some crappy places like Golders Green and Acton". Well seeing as we are in Cambridge and its just at the bottom of the M11 I queried it being the right Westfield... After a minute of convincing her I was not lying and there are 2 in London, guess which one she was at!!!

Hilarious!!

She might want to check her ticket too, 'cause I think End Sheeran's booked the O2. ;)

That and why not drive a little bit further and park at the 02 instead of getting the tube?

Stuffed too :D
Roast pork, with crackling, roast spuds, Yorkshire puds, sage & onion stuffing, thick gravy and a side order of cauliflower cheese all home made by my fair hands :)

A good, tw@ free ride to Wiscombe Park. A decent cup of coffee from a caravan stall. The heady aroma of "R" in the air. Lots of nice, USED vintage and veteran cars being thrown up the hill with little regard to their value. A nice, tw@ free ride home. Oh, and a delicious and unusually well filled pork roll with apple sauce and stuffing!

Managing to repair my oven myself saving me a good bit of dosh.

Worked out the element must have blown as the oven light was working but no heat. YouTube is my friend where I found a very pleasant gentleman demonstrating how to change an oven element. Sorted out which one was suitable for my fan oven, I ordered one online and it arrived within a couple of days. £7.50.... Bargain!

Set about unscrewing back plate to access the element, hit the first hurdle:( The screws to remove the element were not accessible from inside the oven, I needed to access them from the back:( Pulling out a range cooker is not an easy job for a 5ft weakling like me. Anyhow I did it, replaced the element and it works! Hah jobs a goodun :banana:

All for £7.50.

I'm thinking of perhaps offering my services. :naughty:

Well done (y)

My oven could do with a good service and clean, shall we call it a round tenner?

:D

Ha ha Cleaning it!! Oh not cleaning the oven, I'm a specialist in repairs now don't you know and £10 sounds a bit cheap.

WCMUT? Very courteous service from the Vauxhall dealers when I dropped my car off.

Also, venison with courgette spaghetti & pearl barley. Delicious!

Raw looking meat.
*gag*

Sorry.

WCMUT - Finding this thread, reading this thread instead of working, coming to the end of the thread and finding that people Googled "beef Curtains". My morning can only get better! (best get back to work only two hours to go :) )

Best not to google "pigs in blankets" either.

They asked me for my qualifications, which I did at the end of the 70's, at work today. And can't find modern equivalent to set my hourly rate for a government project. Dont they realise that what I did in the 70's has little bearing on today? We have computers now! We also have two 'Doctor' qualified people on the project, who are both useless. But the government are sure to approve a higher rate for them to waste the project funds on.

All I have to add is Cleveland steamer...

BTW, that venison looks a bit overdone!

I was under the misapprehension that having been a registered mental health nurse until retirement, I had seen and heard everything and could never be surprised....How wrong can you be? :sulk:
