Number 3 is lovely... Right up my street that kind of thing :)! Number 2 is a close favourite... but what does it look like without the writing... I always find text can change the whole style of an image, often even improves the general look of some! Still lovely work!!

VPN's are to setup private connections, sorry I didn't see the watchdog program, but you would not be able to setup a VPN to your bank or anything like that! As Chris says it's browser based and would use SSL, VPN's are used for connections to other networks i.e. your company's network, you go...

I personally have taken to buring it to DVD's - as soon as I am finish with something I just burn it now, saves me from worrying... what if my backup drive breaks too... and the backup for that one! Easy to do, just burn it once your done with them, takes time yes, but at least safe!

A grand should buy you a nice Mac refurb one! If your worried about screen size/resoloution, just get an external monitor to plug into it :)! They are cheap as these days! Incedentally I will be selling a HP 20" one soon - don't have enough post to put that up yet... Moderator please don't hurt...
