More D750 woes.... Just had a quote from Nikon for £209 to repair / replace ever increasing ERR messages, banding and non-functioning shutter which had a count of 32,576 at the point of failure. Bought the camera just over 12 months ago as a Nikon refurbished product, checked on their website...

I have both. The D700 does 99% of all that I do with ease, it just inspires confidence. When I realised it was up to 125k shutter actuations I bought the D7000 as a back up but, to be honest, I have hardly used it. I don't think I would like to take it much above 800 iso or use it in bad weather...

I use a D700 for most of my work and a D2x for back up which I find I'm using less and less beacuse I've been spoilt by the low light capabilities of full frame. I am considering swapping the D2x for a (s/h) D300s - anybody like to comment on how it copes in terms of noise when nearing the top...

Depending on the journey time I invariably put my bag on the front passenger seat but well secured with the seatbelt. The weight of it always sets the seatbelt reminder warning off anyway plus its more secure in case an opportunist 'tealeaf' spots it whilst waiting at traffic lights etc. Also...
