Same here. I'm awaiting the YN-622C-TX as that'll save me having to navigate into the camera OCF menus to adjust zooms and power.
I would like some advise on the mk 3 as I'm wishing to upgrade, and just wanna know what it's really like
Alright that was a silly thing to say, as in what dyou find the best out of the mk 3, my apologies, so basically it's specialties
In that case I'd say, for me, it specialises in being very adaptable to how the user wants to work with it.Alright that was a silly thing to say, as in what dyou find the best out of the mk 3, my apologies, so basically it's specialties
This has probably been asked already but here goes- is it really worth the money to upgrade, i have a canon 5d mk2 which as you already know gives superb image quality, apart from the much better focus system what other advantages are they, may help me make up my mind.

Any advice for AF settings to use with a 5D3 and 70-200 f2.8 when shooting football?
The 5d arrived today.
After quickly unpacking my new camera, I quickly realized I have a big big learning curve with the 5d. After upgrading from my beloved 7d the difference is unbelievable, all I need now is the sigma 35mm to arrive and it's play time.
What are people's thoughts on the ggs screen protectors, and any advice on the mind blowing AF system would be much appreciated.
Regards
steve
I've the ggs screen protector on my last three cameras including my present 5d mk3, I think they're a great piece of kit. TBH I'm still struggling a bit with the AF myself, sometimes it seems to have a mind of its own. I got the Sigma 35mm a few weeks back (on this forum) I really haven't used it in anger yet, waiting for some decent weather to get out and about with it.The 5d arrived today.

Upgrading to the 5D3 from a 450D, I feel I've got a massive learning curve coming up!
Been speaking to Panamoz and I'm going to get it from them.
And after a few years shooting Nikon I am back at Canon. I can honestly say I am blown away by the low light capability of this camera and an af system that isnt questionable. Testing it out like you do and reviewing the images on computer only to see shots taken in its native iso range at 12,800. Gobsmacked. Only learning need to pick things up fast before upcoming weddings lol
Can I ask what made you come back to Canon? I jumped ship as well and I'm loving being on the canon side of things!
I have used the Canon 5D MK2 extensively in the past and must admit I absolutely loved it even with the limited AF. I found its resolution superb and just right so to speak. I then bought a Nikon D700, D800, D3. I loved the D700 but missed the 5Ds resolution. The D800 upgrade sorted that(or so I thought) only used it for about 10% of my shots when doing weddings and portraits. I honestly thought it was overkill. The AF was also quite unpredictable as we all know. I moved to a D3, which was just a big D700 truth be told.
I have always missed the ergonomics of the 5D, the grip felt much better than the smaller nikon grips.
Also I think one of the biggest difference that I have noticed after the change(and with the mk2) was how the Camera rendered skin tones and its out of camera look. Seems to render the red colour gamut alot differently.
There has been alot of reasons to be fair, this is just a few.
So far just getting my bearings around the MK3 but all in all I am glad I jumped ship.
Great shots. Some more special shots on your site as well. Brings back find memories of my Dagger Outlaw. Oh I do miss herThank you! This is another one of my favourites, this was shooting into the sun. I used to use a 7D before and I had some stunning results with that also
