I wanted to get a shot of a load of casino chips all on the ODD square, however our French roulette mat only said impair so I had to go with that !!

I love the vivid colours, especially in the blue and red. My only improvement I can offer is to iron the mat, the none strait yellow lines steal my attention a bit. I like that the image doesn't actually say "odd", it made me have to think about the image in order to realise why it was odd. Well done, I look forward to the rest of your 52. :)

Good image Tim, colours look good (y)

I may have been tempted to spin the mat and use a few chips to highlight the odd numbers. The contrasting colours would have worked well :)

Nice colour as others have said and ironing the mat would have been a good idea
A good start though, good luck with the rest

Hi Tim & welcome to the madhouse of 52's (y)

Good start , like the vibrant colors & low POV . ironing the mat I agree with & for me it's just a tad to busy ( but knowing nothing about the game I'm probably wrong!) Maybe a few less chips in total

1 down , 52 to go......

Hi Tim. Nice and sharp where it counts so full marks here. I like your interpretation which shows bags of thought has gone into your piece. Overall just a bit busy in terms of colours clashing for me. I think the wavy lines make this look skewed which niggles too. Good work overall (y)

here's my entry for Week 1 - Line.

not great, should have used a tripod but the weather been shocking here so this will have to do:

Weather doesn't help. Perhaps a tad dark? higher ISO may have helped? (cant see exif data) Reflection of the lights on the tracks is good.

Hi, a little dark maybe and looks like it needs straightening, but the light catches the lines really well

I agree with dark knight, being dark is fine because that's what it would have looked like. I'd prob clone the green light out as it's a bit distracting and rotate slightly anticlockwise. Good reflections on the tracks!

Exposure is fine for me. Any lighter and I feel it would detract from the lines. Cracking idea. Crit, I'd be tempted to go portrait, just feels a tad wid to me.

Cheers.

Hi
like reflections of light on tracks...well done despite weather :)

Agree that it's fine as it is. Very atmospheric with the approaching train and the light on the tracks. Nice one.

nowt wrong with lines for me... the only thing I couldn't have stopped myself doing, would be to clone the right hand light, across to the left hand one too. So they are both the same.

But thats just what I'm like... :D

Compostion has let this down as part of the yellow car is out of frame. Great colours and DOF.

thanks for your comments, will redo this one to improve the rotten composition when there's a re-shoot week

Play, on theme, but there are quite a few similar ones around. I feel you could have produced a better one with a bit more thought.

I might get some, though as they do loos like a cracking prop.

Cheers.
