I've got one and have to say it's the sharpest lens I've ever owned. Had it six years, been used on both hot and Arctic conditions, no problems at all. Simply brilliant and well worth the cash :thumbs:

Hi Lewis, the Di622mk2 is a good all round performer and builds upon the mk1, which was awarded Digital SLR Photography 'Best Buy' back in October 2009. Looking at the price too, I'll think you'll be hard pushed to find another unit with so much to offer. Rob

Firstly I would clean all the contacts on the body and lenses with a dry lint free cloth. Secondly and this may sound stupid, ensure the AF switches on the lenses are in the 'on' position - I've knocked mine by mistake before :-( If you still have problems, do you know anyone with a Canon...

I'm with Dean, go for the 400mm and 70-200mm. A good friend of mine does loads of aviation photography and when he can this is his combination. Rob

My recommendation would be between 1/30th & 1/60th of a second. Any faster than this and you will start to freeze the blades. Just remember though that at these lower speeds, you need to keep your panning nice and fluid so as not to create any blur in the aircraft body. Hope this helps...

Hi Darren, have you checked as Rich said earlier to ensure that any AF Micro Adjustment is not active - you'll find this in the AF Custom Function area. If its set to 'Adjust All' or 'Adjust by Lens', then simply change the setting back to 'Disable'. This should sort your problem. As for the £60...

Really depends on a few things, like the types of birds you are photographing, how far away or close you will be and the big cruncher, your budget. My wife uses the Canon 300mm F4 L on her 550D, which is fine for her, but I'd go for a good 400 or 500mm prime.
