    B&W Portrait....client wants it printing

You can, but I wouldn't bother. If you were reshooting, you could use a reflector to add a touch of fill but if they love it as it is, then its perfect to them and that's all that matters :)

    B&W Portrait....client wants it printing

This is a great idea. I didn't see the headphones initially but I don't think its a lighting fault. I like the lighting as is although a touch of fill could help. I think if you reshot it with the left arm down or somewhere other than where it is, you'd see the left part of the headphone and...

Motor trader warning: Prestige Motor House

thanks for the helpful post. If you don't find my post helpful, move along please. I've been ripped off to the tune of £1500 so yes, a little annoyed.

Motor trader warning: Prestige Motor House

I've had the misfortune to buy a car from Tahir Hussein trading as Heathrow High Performance, Boss Performance UK Ltd and Prestige Motor House. The car developed many faults within the first six months. The trader refused to repair or refund my repair costs. I took him to court and won a CCJ...

    Wedding Portrait

I find the slight colour casts from either side a little distracting. She's got lovely skin so I hate to ask this but... how does it look in b&w?

    Recent baby photos- any feedback

The only thing I'd add is to suggest moving the watermark somewhere less intrusive. I struggled to see past it.

Holy Moley...1st wedding weekend of 2012..with pics

Chris: that seems awfully complicated. Why not just: 1. Import everything into Lightroom 2. Rate all your keepers with a 1 then filter on 1s 3. Run through them all again and rate images you will present to your client with a 2. Filter on the 2s. 4. Mark any red, green and blue along the way...

    Focus on imaging 2012

She looks like a waxwork to me. Did she really look that made up or have you softened the skin?

Call of Duty: MW3 London Launch Event

They asked me to do it again, so it was a case of how much would I charge. I quoted for the event as a whole because I already knew the hours I had to cover and the PP time I would need.

Call of Duty: MW3 London Launch Event

Yes, my legs were dead for 3 days afterwards. I'd need to check my metadata, but I think it was the 35/1.4 that got the most use.

Call of Duty: MW3 London Launch Event

Thank you Marcus. Lovely words :) The lighting wasn't too bad actually. Only a handful of times did the combination of an overall blue ambient light mixed with an occasional yellow spot and the 3900K LED camera light cause me some interesting PP white balance issues. As I was working for the TV...

Call of Duty: MW3 London Launch Event

What goes into launching a massive game like Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3? What goes on behind the scenes? Who attends such an event? I was commissioned by Mediakinetic for the second year running to document the launch on Monday 8th November 2011 at Old Billingsgate Market in London. My brief...

    Portraits for critique please.

Hi Stacey, and welcome :) #1. It's a nice pose and I can see what you were trying to achieve. I'm not looking at this on my calibrated monitor, but it looks rather pink to me. I also think a landscape orientation would work better, to get more of the environment she is sat in. Maybe also step...

    DOF advise when shooting people

I think the comma is misleading you :) Use 'but' as the separator.
