    Visiting Scotland - Next week..

Heh you going bit crazy with all these midges ^^ Been warned the same, that these will eat me alive, so also got some kind of repellent but in the end didn't even use it once. Been in Edinburgh, Findhorn, Loch Ness and even climbed Ben Nevis... and heh no bites, nothing. Haven't even seen one...

    Reccomended software for beginner

Yeah if you can get your hands on Lightroom or Photoshop go for it. Gimp, well I know it's free and can be used for photo editing, but really you should stay away from it unless no other option available ^^

    Website check please?

Looks much better for me :) Regarding the alt="" issue as far as I remember you should use alt=""" for all images, and alt="" and title="" for all images that are links. But what are current W3C guidelines regarding this ... I am not sure. Don't think you will get penalised (SEO wise) for using...

    New website

hey, a nice website you have. What I liked: - clean simple design (somehow I do like this kind of designs), - navigation menu - all is listed so you know straight away what's there available Possible changes/improvements: - font size - somehow all text seems a bit too small, it could...

What they should put on cameras.

near future: special mounting that will allow to change lenses without the fear of getting dust inside. distant future: little red button that transforms your camera into a key chain so that it's easy to carry while travelling and not shooting.

    Which windows Operating system?

Everyone has it's own opinion I suppose. 64bit XP is a forever struggle in search of correct drivers (there is only like handfull of people using it anyway) and Vista well, truth is, why go Vista if you can run on Windows 7. I know before Win7 you had no choice and you were stuck with Vista...

    Which windows Operating system?

Same here, Windows 7 (64bit) is the only "real" choice nowadays. XP can't handle more than 3GB of RAM, Vista ... well that thing should never happen to IT world. It's a shame they actually charged money for this bag of fail.

    Samsung laptops,any good or crap?

Samsung website states it is a 64 bit Windows 7. So if you fancy any future RAM upgrades you should be fine. link: click here edit: That link from Samsung shows slightly different model, with only 2GB of RAM and slower CPU... but I guess it's the same line, as the one from laptopsdirect so...

The best camera for a newbie

I own D3000 for just nearly 2yrs and I am also a newbie. It is hard for me to say anything about other cameras as never had any. D3000 is definitely a good and fairly cheap camera to start with photography. It will give you enough "features" to start your adventure... there is so much to learn...

    Old school cars

This one is not exactly a classic (not yet at least), but worth mentioning. Actually this weekend is the VW festival in Harewood House so plenty of these going to be displayed - will try to photograph as much as possible.
