Yup thats right just skipped casually over the 10k shutter count on my 40D had me wondering why there was two folders on the card with photos in.

Shame that the first 6k photos Ive taken are now lost in data heaven :thumbsdown: (learnt the hardway to backup)

SO moving on what's everyone else on atm then.
 
Number 24 of a 36 exposure film :)
 
25,496 on the 50D since April 2009 (No I'm not that much of an anorak, I checked it with EOS info to sell it) and nearly 12K on the 1D MK IV since April this year.
 
400K+ on 1 1dmk1, 270k+ on the other mk1, about 160k on the mk2n, bout 10k on the 600d, probs fired 70-100 frames on my holgas, my box brownie is on 3 and my phones probs about 5k on both
 
good grief.. i average about a thousand pics a week... mine changes folders regularly :)
 
I don't want to brag, more to point out that Canon gear is fantastic, but one of our 40D's has taken over a million photos and is still going strong (although it's on its third shutter now).

reminds me of the broom sketch the 2 ronnies (i think) did where they say this broom has lasted years & has become a friend, it has only had 8 new heads & 5 new stales!:D:clap:

Back on topic, my 2 d700's are used quite heavily, will check the shutter count on them later on when I get them out!

I got a 550D last christmas and have gone well over 10k by october. In 1 day I did over 3k at waddington airshow. I gave it to the wife in october cause I got a new 7D and 5DMkII and couldn't think of a good enough reason to keep it as well. Only just gone over 1k on the 7D and about 400 on the 5D2 so far though.

No the actual shutter, all of the buttons still work fine! I know for a fact that it has taken over 1,000,000 photos but I didn't know if Canon would reset the shutter count when they replaced the shutter so I checked, and they must do as it's currently showing a little over 523,000.
 
4500 for me in 6 months - I was actually surprised it wasn't higher :lol: most of them have been utter tripe though
