B&W Let's see your Black and White photos

Preparing my gear for Spring today (boring weather!) I did the
AF Finne Tuning of my 200~400 ƒ4 on the D800E and this is

There's some superb shots in this thread, thanks for posting. Here's my contribution - it's been done so many times before, but I thought I would try a black and white shot of the Millennium Bridge that links Gateshead and Newcastle, with the Baltic Wharf museum in the background.

I like the sharks mouth effect - I wonder if it's just me?

Any critique and feedback is appreciated.

Thanks,

Both cool renditions
I dig the toning in the second…

Cool, creative idea!

I think a less subtle falloff would have had some
more directivity and so more drama to the take!

Here is one of my most Successful B&W shots taken many years ago now for the local newspaper in Ramsden Heath, Essex on an Asahi Pentax Electro-Spotmatic + 55mm f1.8 SMC Takumar lens, Ilford HP5 film. It won a Prize in a Channel 4 TV competition and I got a free trip by rail to Manchester !
