That's a shame hope you have more luck with this one. Presumably quality will be similar upto mural enlargements?
 
If it's quite old there will probably be some capacitors or similar that have gone out of spec. A decent electronics engineer should be able to fix it. If you can get a circuit diagram then that would help.

From things we've read it apparently gives many drum scanners a run for their money, it seems to be widely regarded as one of the best commercial flatbed scanners out there. When we set the drum scanner up I spent something like 5 hours a day 5-6 days a week for a month getting to grips with it, there'll probably be similar playing going on with this one and no doubt some images posted here just for fun!

I have something like 15 rolls of exposed film I need to get devved, this is about as good a reason as any to get them done!

We've done a little research into where we're getting it from, it's coming from a printing company that seems to have been bought out and it's sold as having been properly and regularly serviced by the manufacturers. Fingers crossed it should technically be in pretty good shape!

You're all just mean boys that are being mean.... The 'cord will probably be on its way along with a few others next week in preparation for the purchase of something small and digital and expensive.
 
Not a camera but! The family were getting somewhat cross about my film occupancy of the fridge!

Got to confess the top two thirds off my fridge is taken up with film and i have to squat down to reach food!!!........No problem as i know that i have my priorities in the correct order

Strictly speaking, they're not new toys but I'm excited anyway because I received an email from Miles today informing me that my Canon P and GS645S are ready!

I've spent ages thinking about how I'm going to use these cameras, though they've only been away for repair for 2 weeks and I was only able to put one film through each of them before sending them off. Seems longer somehow. Anyway, reviews to follow :D
 
Took a step up in format today from my Fuji 645.

Got me a Mamiya RB67 Pro S in very good condition. Took some finding as I want to do landscapes and needed wide. Got it with a 50mm :)

Excellent choice! The 50 is a good lens then again they're all pretty good.

I got one of these in a "bag of stuff" that came with an Edixa-Mat Kadette I got from Cash Generator. Mine had broken glass and doesn't appear to work. The case was in the same condition as yours and included the invercone. The Camera has the Meyer-Optik Gorlitz Lydith 30mm f3.5 lens.

Also in the bag were a Sigma Photopia 135mm f3.5 which I haven't found anything about with Google. There was a Bewi Boy meter, presumably a replacement for the Weston, a Rollei E27 flash with psu, three fan bulb flashes with bulbs and two with ancient Ever Ready batteries which look new. Tripod mount adapters, extension tubes and two BDB filters, a 49/47 orange and a 49/47 0.75x Close Up.

I would like to know more about the Photopia lens, it is quite narrow and only has a 43mm filter thread. When I've searched I've found results for Sigma Photopia 135mm Fast f2.5 but mine is f3.5. Any help would be appreciated.

I have loaded the camera with Poundland special and I have a Tesco ten minutes walk from my house, so I will soon get my results. Oh and I have a Canon FT QL on the way from the bay, ready to pair up with a couple of lenses I picked up from a charity shop for £5, a Canon 50mm f1.8 and a Tamron 28mm f2.5 Adaptall 2 with FD mount.

I use the vegetable drawer. It's never got any vegetables in it anyway :D

I don't know, but I can make a suggestion. The other items were all of an age that I remember from the good old days, so I'm assuming that the lens is a similar vintage. Photopia were an importers who also did rebranded "own brands". My best guess that this is the place to start to get further information. It's possible that I might have some information (if I'm correct on the dating) in some of my old BJP Almanacs, but don't hold your breath! You might like to look here.

While I am posting - I have a larder fridge (meaning no freezing compartment) in my darkroom. Not a see through door though. It's useful for storing extra food at Christmas.

RB67: good camera. I've got the original model but use an RZ67. I've got the 50mm lens, but rarely use it, preferring the 110mm.
 
Took the RB67 back today - there was a problem with the back. Got it swapped for another and although there's a light leak (not a bad one) that I can sort - all is working! (Some test pix up on the film pix forum).

Somehow managed to come out with a 140mm too - how did THAT happen? LOL!

Thanks for the link. My brother, Chris, also sent me it earlier this evening. Photopia seemed to own a lot of companies including Japanese Cameras Ltd. This company made Minolta cameras and lenses and I guess could have made my 135mm. It does have made in Japan on the front.
 
Got a couple of new toys today from my dad. This was his kit when he was at university, he's 80 next month!

First a Hanimex Sekonic meter. Seems to work, well at least the needle is moving. Need to find a manual on how to understand it.

Next is his Voigtländer Vito. Seems light tight, aperture blades moving clean, focus ring works but a touch stiff. I can't work out how to get the shutter to fire though. Push the button and nothing happens. Hoping it's got a must be wound with film lock of some kind, other wise it's decoration. Not minty, it's seen mountains, safaris and more.

There's also a custom made leather always ready case he had made for it in Newcastle, a UV filter, some other filter possibly a close up, and a Voigtländer branded hood.

Sorry the pictures aren't great, iPhone pictures in the dim don't really work and I am too lazy to get a DSLR out for it!
 
I think it does have to have a film in to wind on and fire, cracking little camera though. Very highly thought of especially if it has the dial set compur shutter.
 
It says compur something on the front, will check tomorrow. Will try get some film in it tomorrow whilst the cars being serviced and see if I can get it working.

You've tried to cock it I presume? The lever behind the speed selector, does it move down?
 
It tells you about setting the shutter speeds on pages 16, 17 & 18 of the Vito II manual. That's what yours looks like.
