Varied Carpet Beetle Anthrenus verbasciI found this little chap in my living room on the wall. He was by far the smallest creature i have photographed so far. I needed all 68mm of extension tubes and a massive crop to show him. I am guessing he is some kind of beetle ( please excuse my ignorance on his ID ).
So whats his name.

I think I have some other sots that show it has two tail parts. Not sure why they don't show in this one. I'll go back and see if I can confirm.Think it is an Alderfly nymph

The tail part only being singular as stonefly have split tail parts.

Your fly looks like a female mayfly which I suppose is appropriate for the current time of year....
