Playing catch up again - oops! Managed to get this shot whilst strolling through the centre of Bristol.

I like that Dan the DOF really helps makes the metal feature stand out and it certainly looks rough and in need of some TLC

So what's the rough element - the bollard or Bristol

(I can safely say that of course sitting 25 miles away from Glasgow right now... people in glass houses etc.!)

I like it Dan, but the clipping of the side of the bollard on the right jars a little bit for me because of the circular hole/plug thing which is now cutting across the edge of the frame? Also worth watching for drainpipes/signposts etc. generally (but not a biggie in this one)

Shame about the clipping to the right, but it works for me! Nice 'pop' to the red too.

I thought for a minute that was your colourful shot Dan... it's a super bright colour, but it works well for rough too, lots of nice texture in there.

Thanks for your comments everyone. I actually cropped the right side off because there was a person in it that kept drawing my eye. Here is a less cropped version, would be great to get your thoughts!

Hmm, I'm going to be controversial here. I prefer the crop.
I understand what the others said about cutting the plug in half, so perhaps an even tighter crop would have worked.

(But hey, what do I know)...

That's a wonderful red you've captured. I can see why you cropped - I think the first post is definitely stronger.

Dan, my eye keeps getting drawn to the nuts and bolts for me I would of cropped to those. But hey what do I know ! Like the red a lot
