the eclipse

Last time in 1999 I was using my OM1n and a welding mask. Thought I ought to make an effort as I would be 147 when this happens next so unlikely to make it, got some decent shots much like those above, lots of neighbours came out to have a look through my viewfinder, never been so popular :)

That's the only reason I bothered. I just used my A7cII and 40mm lens + a 10 stop and did a 100% plus crop. It's good enough to send to Mrs WW who's away at the mo.

Some great results here, wish we had some cloud cover really adds to the shots.

Well the large format lens worked to project the eclipse just fine although it was a bit bright on the card.
I also used an old crop DSLR with a 500mm mirror lens with a ND1000+2x ND8+ ND128 and a UV filter stacked and used live view to snap some shots.

That is spectacular. I watched all the youtube videos but I'm just not technically - minded enough to set something like that up. Anyone thinking of going to southern Spain in August next year???
