The Official Fuji X10/X20/X30/XF1/XQ1 Thread

we pay more for donut rain :)

it was taken through the car window, hence the donuts

So is that it then the range is dead or will we see a 1" xtran range next?

It ended with the X30...:(

However that does not mean they will never bring out a new range of cameras, that fill the same spot in the market place, in the future.

the X30 suits me Just fine, and I would have almost certainly replaced it with the X40 had one appeared.
As it is, I will stick with it as it does all that I need it to.

Is that all you shoot with now or do you still have something with a larger sensor?

Yes. But I have not upgraded from APS sensor, nor even used it since I bought the X30. I simply have no need for shots larger than A3. and it covers that very well indeed.
Were I not retired, I would no doubt have either a Fuji XT2 or a DSLR full frame as my main camera.
As it is I have no need for any thing better. or more specialised ( though who knows what temptations lay ahead)
I tend not to sell off old digital kit, So I have still got everything prior to the X30
I would certainly not use a n X30 for professional work. As you can not tell in advance how the Photographs will end up being used, Nor the difficulties and technical problems you might need to deal with during a shoot. Nor can you go back "like the proverbial plumber" to get more specialist kit.

yeah, i saw the X10 - very odd.

Still thinking about the X30 vs X100T conundrum - i could really do with mid £200s atleast for the X30 ( it has a red button and an leather strap ( which i might not sell ) and a screen protector and is mint after all :D )

If you do sell, give me a heads up please - I'd like to try one.

Looking for a 'normal' snap on lens cap for my X30. Does anyone know the correct size please. Have searched online and sizes from 40 mm to 40.5 mm have been mentioned.

Thanks,
AL

Cant help with the cap i'm afraid, but I can confirm the ridiculous 40.5mm thread. IIRC having the official protective filter on it takes it down to a 40mm...

Ah, that's interesting. I have the protective filter too but have decided to leave the hood off. So a 40mm should be the one I need.

Thanks,
AL

Looking at the protective filter which is part of the LHF-20 kit I'm not convinced that a snap on cap will fit on it. :(

Couldn't you just get a 3rd party 40.5mm UV and a 3rd party 40.5mm lens cap?

Yes, but having bought the LHF-20 kit I'm reluctant to waste it.

I'll just carry on using the hood and cap.

AL
