I live about 29 miles from the airport, and have been in the are for a very long time, the noise can be deafening at times even
at this distance, but as I said previously you tend to get used to it and it's just background noise
The monster in law just turned up for Christmas
What's the difference between outlaws and In-laws?I have 2 of them turning up in Boxing day... shudder....
You obviously bought that on your self, no sympathyI have 2 of them turning up in Boxing day... shudder....
Oh aye miilfI'm afraid I can't relate to the mother-in-law jokes as I got on with both of mine far better than I did with their daughters.
WAMT - Every single sod who told me its so unfair that I had to work christmas eve and boxing day... all without realising people like them are the reason I have to. Bloody retail.
Oh aye miilf
They'll either have been brought down by all the Christmas drunks talking nonsense to their new plastic pal, or the Amazon Server Hamsters escaped. View attachment 140965
DHL parcel uk delivering a parcel unsigned at 7am that I had previously refused, as the order was cancelled with supplier several days before they shipped it, and now claiming it is my problem to run around the county to arrange its return.
R'solesA defibrillator was stolen locally today, to say I am p***ed off is an understatement, a lot of fund raising and man hours went into getting it there in the first place in the hope that someone’s life might one day be saved.
Why would you want to steal them anyway? I wouldn't have thought there was much demand for them on the black market, or do they serve another purpose I don't know about.R'soles
There was a report recently, before Christmas about the amount of defibs that have been stolen in the past year.
I can't remember the details now, but it was a shocking ( sorry no pun intended ) amount.
I'm sure if Dr Frankenstein had had one it would have cut his work load in half!or do they serve another purpose I don't know about.

I *think* they are worth quite a few quid ...Black market AKA eBay perhaps?
Last time I looked (5 or 6 years ago) they were around £1k to £1.8k depending on model and features.
Quite where the second hand market is for them I don’t know...
