Lovely GT4 i used to have a silver one very similar minus the skirts and spats.
I'd always try and get a lower perspective when shooting cars. 5 would be the best but needs a straight horizon imo, i like the idea behind the last one would work well with a lower aperture and if the leaves...
That pic flying into the hole in the clouds is a fantastic image!
Its great when you can capture something perfectly of two elements you have no control over!
Well you've got all the gear you need thats for sure, i would consider getting a stoffen diffuser for your flash to soften and bounce it if you do need fill flash.
Its very difficult to advise without seeing the surroundings and from what distances your taking the photos though!
what i would...
You will really struggle on the group shots with a 24-70 on a crop body if its a busy place. Heres a selection of shots i've done on club nights all with a 17-55 lens. All pretty much at the wide end! Sometimes i wish i had another couple of mm wider range...
Shoot Raw and you get can away with pushing it up a fair bit in post though!
Theres no point moaning about other cars, like Jazzy says, its not like he's going to hunt the owners down to get them moved, come on!

In relation to the subject, the lighting was a silver 70 cm beauty dish just in front and...
Had a shoot today with Wajid, he simply felt he was at a stage where he was at his peak physically (now 30, and taking a step back from training) and wanted some photos done to keep for the future.
Male fitness isn't my usual thing but i was confident i could get some nice images. We were...
Hmm this isn't really my area but not so sure about these.
The lightsource seems to be a way different colour balance (very cold) probably 6000k and in contrast with sunset ambient maybe 3.5-4k (warmish)
I think next time you need to try gelling the light source to match the ambient and also...
You might find thats why you stuggled to go lower if you had the IS on, remember its trying to compensate for camera movement so will fight a pan.
Some guys on here manage to get sharp shots as low as 1/10th god knows how. The lowest i got was 1/80th and the keeper rate was awful.
