weekly Cobra's 2020 cataclysmic catastrophes Week 52 decorate and done!

Nice funny take on the feme :)

Who’d have thought it amazing what macro camera lenses reveal these days
I know, I love this new one Allan (y)

Surely that needs a NSFAnyone tag !!!
Or NSFTim :D

Nicely composited Chris. And some nice background blur.
Thanks Time (y)

Is that the new travel octapod? I've heard that it's 2⅔ better than the old one and that the reports of occasional nibbles are fake news!
Thanks for dropping by Alex (y)

Hi Chris

Do you write jokes for Tim Vine by any chance?

Shoe horns still working well

Pete

I tried to think of something other than "the bleeding obvious" so it was out with the macro lens.
I have ( ash) leaves in waiting, the strong tip should open, but should it fail there are 2 others ( just visible) ready to jump in.
They may even open along with the strong bud, to protect, but they will drop off once the strong bud is totally opened.

Good take on the subject it does become a bit tedious sometimes I agree.

Leaves
Nice detailed close up. I like the red-ish background too.

Great detail there, c and as already said, the complimentary coloured background works!
Cheers Alex (y)

Two nice polar conversions. Lapland is more Polar - obviously :)

Ooof - those tiny planets make my head hurt a little...I like the effect in the first - but the second is definitely closer to bi-polar ;)

Thanks for stopping by Alex (y)

That’s the biggest snowball I’ve ever seen in the 2nd pic. I like the colours in the first. Both definitely fit the abstract theme.

Like those Chris, never tried this style of processing, what filter did you use? Wondering if I can do this in the zoner software I use.
Cheers Michael (y) I do the basics in CS5
There is prepping first & still ( cleaning up) work to do after though.
CS5 Square the image either by cropping or resize by un checking constrain proportions, flip the image 180 degrees ( or your'll get the sky on the inside) filter Distort > polar coordinates.

Google "Small Planets" there maybe an option for your software.

Interesting effect that makes a fascinating image - or is it just me with my nose on the screen

An interesting effect and certainly abstract - nice job.
