Hadrons 52 for 21 Week 52 - Showcase (Done and dusted)

Something is very wrong with the Hobgoblin bottle...ah yes, it's not empty! :)

Snappers: Nicely exposed. The combines have stopped going up and down my road now so it looks like everything has been brought in -- winter is coming.

that last one is really nice, great detail and a lovely backdrop in the sky colours. Proper 'front of a magazine' stuff .

Week 36 - Unnatural + Tech - Free lensing

A bit of a poor effort this week but I had great fun doing it and that is, after all, the whole point really isn’t it?
I’ve always wanted to take the cliche robin on a stick shot but never seem to get around to it. Fortunately for me this slightly unnatural looking chap made an appearance and even hung around long enough for me to faff about ticking off the technique (I’d never realised just how much my hands shake until I tried this) :)

Lovely pic of the big farm machine thingy!

Clean: Love the DOF on this
Glass: I really like the way you positioned the bottle, it looks like an advert.
Snappers: Lovely warm sky in this one. Massive machine there!

Great photo! So much clarity considering the low light

Makes Clarkson's tractor look like a toy ;)
Great evening tones in the sky. Very nicely done.

Thanks for the comments folks, I really will try and get better at commenting myself when things quieten down a bit round here :)

Week 37 - Natural

This seemed a fairly natural scene, found on an evening walk in some local woodland (I wish I'd thought to pick up my polariser though) :)

Lovely scene for sure.

It's really hard to make a scene like that look interesting, but the light and the colours work well here.

It's got some nice light, especially on the bracken, which is bringing out the oranges and browns.

What a lovely scene. Really nice light and colours. I don't know if it was wet, but the light on the bark is lovely.

Thanks for looking and taking the time to comment, greatly appreciated. Apologies for not replying earlier but I had actually got half way through responding when we had a bit of a machinery fire at work and needless to say it changed by priorities for a while :)

Excuse my ignorance (as I don't use a polariser), but what difference would it have made except the stop of light?
There aren't pools of water or areas of sky for it impact.

If you look closely at the foliage there are quite a few over exposed highlights which I would like to think I could have controlled to an extent if I had the polariser fitted :)

Week 38 - Autumn

The Virginia creeper that grows (rampantly) up the side of our house is just beginning to show its autumn colours :)

Those reds are spectacular when they get going. Lovely clean image.

As Kell says, is this an outside loo?
It's interesting how the door frames/holes are different considering they must have been done at the same time (at least originally).
I think that's what makes you stop and look at the shot.

Like those.

Looks like what we would have called a 'netty' when I was a kid.

Thanks both, Originally this was the stand for a red diesel tank (up in the air so gravity did the work rather than needing a pump). When regulations meant we had to move on to a new bunded tank with a pump this structure became redundant so rather than knock it down we stuck a couple of old doors on it so it could be used as a rudimentary storage shed :)

Week 40 - Architecture.
A very poor shoehorn at best from me this week as I've been somewhat stumped as to what to come up with. This is the best I could come up with It's a farmhouse wall. The house was built in several stages spanning several centuries and this is where the original late 16th century (I think) architecture joins with a later addition to the property (tenuous link to the brief I know but deepest darkest rural Lincolnshire isn't known for its classical or indeed modern architecture ) :)

Red - has to be a Massey Ferguson! Used to drive one back in the day (no where near as sophisticated as this one!)
Spot on!

Definitely red... looks quite small in comparison with some of the beasts of the fields these days, or could just be the perspective.

Thanks for the feedback, as far as the size of the machine goes you're right in thinking it is small by comparison to some of the leviathans in use these days but it is probably not as small as it looks on screen. To give some perspective the implement on the back is 4M wide not including the marker arm requiring it to need an escort vehicle when moving between fields :)

Very good! A clever take on the theme and a good picture of one of my favourite places.

Cracking shot of a limestone pavement! Brings back very vividly memories of my O level geography in the 1970's!!!

Great shot of the pavement there. Takes me back to days of school trips to Malham too...

nice Irregular image, plenty of detail in there and well exposed. I've never been to Malham, it's somewhere i'd like to visit.

Lovely image. It's amazing how it has weathered. Is that natural paving or has it been laid?
