This weeks theme....WIN...I give up :help: Was really hoping for something that would stir my enthusiasm but yet again it's not to be :crying:

So having done a quick google for various meanings of the word ( sad I know ) I'm gonna take a different route...to Win means to succeed.....so I'm gonna have a go at as perfect a macro shot as I can do , using the info I learned last weekend - compostion , control of natural light , color ,focus & DOF - to hopefully produce a shot that needs no PP baring sharpen ( & crop if necessary) . If I post & get lots of good feedback then I will have won the battle :D.....thats the plan anyway ...

on the plus side...I'm now the proud owner of a shiny new D7000 :D....In fact it's so shiny n new I may just leave it in it's box & look at it for a while....don't want to get it dirty or wear it out :p

Lynne, i know what you mean, I had no ideas at all this morning, and not much popped into my head through out today.

Congrats on the new camera btw, I'm sure you won't be able to hold off much longer! I am off to focus on imaging this week, I should be the proud owner of a new lens on tuesday!

Not doing too well this week, went mountain walking last week end and done my knee in. I'm so fed up, just dying to get out of the house and take some photos. I've tried indoor photography but too painful to bend down. Photos will be appearing as soon as I can get around.

My 'Win' effort will be late this week, shan't be able to take it until Sunday ... hope it's worth the wait!
 
Well, just been down the spreadsheet and only 19 submissions to date, easier to comment on but I salute the fallen....:D

Well, I have to say, it feels much harder than last year....:thinking: unsure why, but I'm glad you're all hear....:clap:

Not everyone's updating the spreadsheet -- there's def more than 19 submissions for week 10. I've done a quick check of the thread titles on page 1 in the Photo 52 subforum and updated the spreadsheet accordingly.
 
I'm not sure what takes more time - thinking, setting up, taking the photos, editing them, etc. or commenting on all these great photos. I think it must be the latter as tonight I've passed the barrier of commenting on over 500 entries!! Apologies to anyone I've missed so far - I promise to try harder :LOL:

Well week 11 here already and I havn't done win yet. Will try and get them both done this week but just got the keys to our new house so am up to my eyeballs is wallpaper and boxes. It's like Christmas just a little more grown up lol.

Well done to all those that are still in the challenge, keep up the good work.

Oh bugger, I am one of those people with all my shots on the first page. Now how am I going to get my pictures on?
On a side note, how are we all going to edit our thread titles, and re-name them with the current theme included if none of us can edit our threads?
 
Looks like they've removed that restriction. As a test I just went back and tried to edit my first ever post on here, from November 2011, and was allowed to.

It would be good to have a definitive answer from a mod though.
 
Lets just hope we don't get one person in a huff ruin it for everyone else, so we can keep editing our Photo52's.
Please people, be nice. My OCD side begs you to let me keep my thread tidy :LOL:
 
if there is a restriction put in place you will still be able to edit your thread title...
When in the 52 subforum where all the threads are, if you click to the right hand side of your thread title where the blank space is, it will allow you to edit the text. Only thing you cant do is add the nsfw tag if that was needed.
