Love the bench! Very vivid in colour so great for the Tech! Looks like a lovely park to walk through.

That CPL filter works and it fits the theme, looks a nice park. 2nd pic for me though not as vivid and understand need to get it done

Thanks, Sophie. The photo is 'In Explore' on Frickr, quite surprised by that.

Thanks, Keith. Yes, the polarising filter enhances the saturation of the bench's vivid colours.

Certainly a vivid bench. And it really stands out. I would want to paint it green but I guess I need to move with the times.

All good shots.. I rather like the colour of the empty path. Good leading line and nice composition.

Thanks, Bob. Yes indeed, don't want to be left behind in this fast-moving world. I think green would be too boring being in a park.

Thanks, Helen.

I want to get this week done early as I'm away on Monday for 3 weeks and will try my best to keep up with the weekly themes while away whenever I can.

This structure is a drilling derrick to make holes to get oil or gas out of the ground. This is a typical land base rig whereas the offshore rigs are at least 3 times bigger and taller. This one was used for training purposes but the drilling school has since closed and put up for sale with an asking price of over £1.0M.

Interesting structure... wonder who would want to buy it??

Before anyone asked I was a passenger as you may have noticed the oncoming traffic is on the left. We were travelling from Miami to Marco Island on Interstate 75. This 20-mile section of road freeway is basically one long straight apart from a couple of bends.

Yep - classic :)

My first thought was 'not UK' obviously, and then 'it has to be the USA'. Chuffed that I was right. Great sky, too.

Fabulous sky.. I was just thinking that doesn't look like the UK. Nice one.

Thanks, Bob. I can't remember when I saw weather like the in the UK.

Classic USA shot.

Thanks, Pete. Everything is big here including the sky!

I immediately thought that has to be an American highway, I hired a car in Florida a number of years ago and I wondered where all the corners were :ROFLMAO:

Your picture reminds me of that holiday and it is a great one for the theme.

Cheers, Simon. Not just straight roads but dead level too.

Every fisherman likes to see a nice bend.. good take on the theme.

Yep - that's perfect for the theme!

What was on the end?

Straight - I do remember driving through California and experiencing roads (and skies) like that. Happy memories.

Bent - if that was me, to answer Dave's question above, it would probably be an old shopping trolley.

Cheers, Kell. It's just your luck to hook a shopping trolley. :ROFLMAO:

Hope you got plenty of fishfinger sandwiches.

Good take on the theme and lovely colour to the sky
