Seaodyssey's 2022 Fifty Two (Critique Welcome) Week52 Showcase

Same here... the crab apples feed the birds. They are ripening nicely.

Nicely shot. Waiting for the apples to ripen on our very small tree too!

Good shot Pete. I remember having a crab apple tree on our farm growing up. I never understood why anyone would want to grow them. We never ate or used them and, like you suggested, they ended up as food for the birds and wasps.
You can make jam or jelly out of them, not that I have tried it.
Nice shot Pete, plenty of food for the birds and wasps to share.
Thanks Dave

They are getting there, our the apples on our apple tree have all gone rotten.
Nice shot Pete. The apples stand out well against the oof background
Thank you Pete
The softness in the light is nice. DOF is spot on too.
Thanks Nick.

The shapes are lovely, and I really like the way the balustrade is lit hard from above and softly from below. It's a really nice effect.

That's a fantabbadoozy shot that is :)

That's a great shot. I admire you skill in seeing it and in execution.

I really like this. The shapes and light make a fascinating image.

Nice shot Pete. Very well composed and exposed
Thanks Simon
Nice. Simple and effective, love a bit of good architecture
Ta Alan
Good eye Pete! This is very cool.

Ta Nick, I took a shot before the wedding as well, but the light was not as good then, and there where people walking up the stairs.

Good image Pete.
Plenty squares for the challenge.
The numbers on the back of your hand also catch the eye. ?

It's lasted a lot longer than the others. Always makes me wonder why.
Anyway, meets the them and has good bokeh Pete.

Square. Nice watch. Still no idea what the square is on the numbers without a calculator :)

Small. That resembles most of the plants in my garden as we still haven't had any rain. A hardy single survivor.

Thanks Helen, the numbers are Pi squared so something to do with a circle.
We had tons of rain last week, 3mm over 3 days.

That works Pete. Such lovely colours on thistles, and amazing how one bud has hung in there.

That's neatly done Pete - good in mono and the application and interpretation of shadow works perfectly with this shot.

A good image Pete, I didn't think of having the subject in shadow rather than casting a shadow! Great take on the tech.
