Seaodyssey's 2022 Fifty Two (Critique Welcome) Week52 Showcase

Lovely background for a nicely composed silhouette.

Nicely done. Great angle and mono suits it.

That's neatly done Pete - good in mono and the application and interpretation of shadow works perfectly with this shot.

That works really well in mono. I really like the viewpoint, making the seed head so dominant.

A good image Pete, I didn't think of having the subject in shadow rather than casting a shadow! Great take on the tech.

Thank You all for taking time to comment.

Nice image Pete, and the mono does it justice. The leading lines on the tiles are good

It's all about the lines - but the people add well :)

Good use of mono, really works with that architecture
It is a concrete and glass grade 2 listed building, so I agree

Thank you Dave.
Nice streetscape Pete.
Thank you Bill
I also like the mono treatment and the added interest of the people too
The people just walked into the scene, but I did see them coming.
The mono conversion adds to the shot. Some great leading lines in there too.
Thank you Helen

Nice one Pete. That’s certainly interesting and unusual.

Great image, I love the use of silhouette and the interest in the statue. Good job

Well spotted and a great perspective.
Your processing has brought out the shape well.

That’s an unusual sculpture. What is it meant to show? Is it a gun being held?
Perfect for the theme.
The Statue is showing the connection of Wolverton with the railways, The main body is made out of track and what you think is a gun is in fact a steam engine.

Nice one Pete. Would make a nice punchy mono too.

Ahhh! That makes sense now, and I can now see the tracks…. But did make me chuckle :ROFLMAO: Thanks for filling me in.

Well taken night shot.
I like the way you have left the water uncropped to highlight the the top lights (if that makes sense).

It makes perfect sense to me, without them it would be much less to see.

Thanks for your time and comments.

Two great shots Pete
Looking up: really like the perspective and exposure on this shot, very dramatic
Electric: like the night shot with the star bursts

Looking Up:
Lovely silhouette Pet and well composed.

Electrical:
Another nice composition and lovely reflections and starbursts.

Nicely done Pete and yes you have used my idea :)

There's an estate village near me where all the doors are painted green.

I'll have to get thinking again!

That's a good night shot. You've perfected the starbursts.
Thanks Helen, lucky I had my super mini tripod thingy with me.

Nice one... I have a feeling I'm going to be humming this one for a while!

Good shot Pete.
Thanks Bill

I was too.
Good one Pete. And lovely light in the shot.
Thanks Simon
So - can you answer the question?

What was behind the Green Door?
In this case it was someones back garden;)
Ah yes Green Door. I didn't spot it straight away, but that was me being slow :) Well spotted for the theme and nicely captured.
Thanks Bebop, plenty of Green doors here.
