None in the Solihull £land, back of M&S (half a dozen 200).
Strappy cleaned out the St James Centre branch at the Edinburgh Film meet ...
Be fair, I bought it for everyone and we divvied it up in the pub afterwards. Admittedly, I got carried away with the thrill of the chase and ended up taking home 16 rolls of the stuff but that's not the point.
Chris - if you need some I could have a hunt in Edinburgh?
Strappy cleaned out the St James Centre branch at the Edinburgh Film meet but they might have restocked by now. Also the Nicholson St branch have stocked film in the past, I could try there.
What's the unmet demand like now guys? I can look in my local Poundland tomorrow/Friday if anyone still wants it at £1/roll plus shipping from me to you at cost? Won't know what there is until I get there though...
UPDATE: I'm going shopping today Friday 20th June, I'll see what they've got and buy some. No-one's come back since I put this post up a few days ago so do I get the sense that you're all now sorted and don't need any?
UPDATE OF UPDATE: BURY ST EDMUNDS POUNDLAND RIGHT OUT OF ASA400, BACK ON STOCKS OF ASA200. END OF MESSAGE!
Let's hope they restock everywhere at some future date. Having just returned from a few days away using the 200 and the 400 versions, I can say that Vista 400 is a more vibrant emulsion and to my eyes, much the better film.
On a different note, I've never been a great fan of Asda's efforts in processing but the Aintree branch have done a pretty good job of 'dev only' for £2 a roll. They are not perfect but there were very few spots/fibres on the negatives, which is important for my non-ICE scanner. They are a lot better than my local Max Spielmann, who are supposed to be the specialists.
Did you by golly! I thought I'd managed to keep my head down on my sources. I'll keep popping in to see what they've got. Certainly last weekend it was plain old ASA 200.I think had their last 30 rolls!
Tried 2 Edinburgh stores over the weekend without success (Nicholson St had no film, Meadowbank only 200s). I think that makes 10 stores I've tried without success!
Looks as though the Reading store have given up on film altogether, they didn't even have a single roll of 200 anywhere in the store yesterday. Ah well, I've got plenty of B&W and a small stock of Portra in the fridge already, buying more film wouldn't help me shoot any of that.
Harman direct (they do Ilford direct as well) have some vista 400. Think it's about the only place I've seen it reasonably priced.
Still on Poundland web page http://www.poundland.co.uk/leisure-...ical/blank-media/agfa-photo-camera-film-20024
Is it best to store your film stocks in the fridge? Its all new to me.
