.... I'm laughing because the scale of the bridge makes the people crossing it look like giants and also someone appears to be underneath supporting the keystone.

Is the esteemed Engineer Thomas Telford a relative?

He never had any children, so not a direct ancestor, but some of my father’s family were in parts of Dumfriesshire near where Thomas Telford was born around the same time, so it’s quite possible he was some kind of cousin going back to the 1750s.
Not entirely coincidentally, Thomas is my middle name
