Nice one. I have to say I prefer York 4, because the box isn't cropped.
Nice depth to retain detail in the box, nice low angle, nice tea.
I'd just prefer the RH leaf wasn't there. I also suspect having a nice clean BG would improve.
Oh, did I say...nice tea!!
Cheers.
You know what i think of this have just posted on your flickrthis screams pride to me, but i think you have to be from Yorkshire for it to do that.
I have to disagree with Andy, i can'y crit this, because i genuinely love everything about it![]()
Yorkshire Tea is the best![]()
Great work on pride Alex
I do like photographs which tell a story about the photographer.
The elements of the image come together well. The dof, composition and lighting all come together to make for a great photograph.
The leaf doesn't bother me at all, I think it holds that side of the frame in. The only thing I would say is that I would prefer to see the top side of the leaf but that is a very minor observation. Iain
Well despite being a Yorkshire man I prefer Twinings myself
Not that either tea has anything to do with Yorkshire
Like the photo though fits the subject well.
Steve
I love this (I'm a Yorkshireman, desperate to get away from here). I think you chose the right one too; great DoF and composition.
Lovely work![]()
As an honorary northerner (married a Yorkshire man now get mistaken for being from up north) I get it! Lovely white roses and great DOF but agree that a cleaner background would help here!
Hi Alex,
Im going to sound like a wally now!!! You'll have to educate me...I get the yorkshire tea but not sure why the white roses are related to yorkshire?...we don't get out much in Norfolk!!!
As for photo, I like it, didn't find the leaf to distracting, but maybe a little bit more focus on the tea![]()

Yes he's still got an accent but very watered down! He tone's it down (almost posh) when he's talking to officers! But one of his officers (who tries to hide his accent) hates him as he hams it up massively to make him talk northern!!!ChickenDipa said:Does he still have his accent?
Visit hobby craft, A3 black & white card, sorted!ChickenDipa said:We need to get some nice backgrounds in our house. Never seem to be able to find the right place.

ChickenDipa said:You can never shake the Barnsley accent! Its strange that I am only a few miles away from Barnsley but yet our accent is slightly different. I'd do that too, ham it up too!
my hubby would say otherwise, he always says he's lost his accent! But the fact people think I'm a northerner tells me otherwise! I'm not good enough to spot the local variants.
Needs a caption of what they are saying to each other?
Our garden is a hive of small bird activity at the moment, its really nice! They bloomin quick though.
, but as a photograph I do like it. I bet he'd sit there for hours...waiting.

Of the few shots I like that and the close up of the chocolate

Thanks for the flight comments, seems so long ago!
I am working on catching up.
Authority - I was close to getting this today but my memory card broke and the pictures just were not writing to it. So I took one on my phone and its a bit pants do will have to try again.
Leaving - to do at the weekend!
Random
Last week I had an Abel and Cole veggie box delivered. I get them every now and again. I had said I did not want one of the veggies listed so another one gets selected at random. And this random looking thing turned up! So random on a few levels, random veg which is random looking!
We think it is a Kohl rabi, bit turnip like and German.
